61cm Jungle Baz.
Already crumbed from a quick flop in the sand.
Tagged and released!

Saw a pair of Orchard Butterflies flying around me, in the middle of mating (now that's a solid effort 🧐😳). Fortunately had them land 5m away from me so got a vid and a quick photo!

Managed to mostly dodge rain (somehow) and catch a heap of small fish. But small fish are ok when the predominant fish is Mangrove Jacks 🙃🔥 love these fish

Also, catching anything on cicada lures (asides maybe Australian Bass) is frigging next to impossible 🤦🫠 5000 whacks, wing pulls and wings knocking fish off the hooks... finally landed ONE Spangled Perch 🥴

Sufficed to say... today went rather well 😁

From Fingers on a Temu Bream vibe to Tyson and I smashing solid Jacks off a single snag, sightcasting thick free-swimming Pikeys (with a literal one-eyed pirate Barra thrown in.. 👁️)
.big day...but worth all le effort! (And lost lures........RIP Temu Bream vibe 😢😔)

Pretty cool little recapture. Fish caught in Mystery Creek not a year after I tagged it near the highway bridge at Murray Creek, which is freshwater.

First round of genuinely pleasant weather in TWENTY-TWENTY-FIVE (😑)
and fish are out n about

Mate of mine Lindsey doesn't get to fish very often......so naturally took him out in the tinny...and he slayed more Barra than me 😂
And frig, we dropped some fish...with moi doing the bulk of the "dropping" (and swearing, naturally). Fish were from 47 to 74cm, with couple double hook-ups...great fun 🙃

Nato: 5/11

Kept one solid 68cm fish for gma, too 😁

Next day wasn't as successful 😅 but there's definitely still fish about. Couple small Fingermark, Flatties, Blue Salmon and one King Salmon turned up, 65cm, which are always welcome.

Also...and true to form, dropped a solid Barra maybe 75-80cm... If anything... I am consistent 🙄

Great day up a creek with Tyson today. All the creek variety; Fingermark, Grunter, Flathead, Mangrove Jack, King Salmon and FINALLY some Barra decided to play ball (...for Tyson)

Finding some solid Whiting whilst trying to tag some Bream up the river lately, over shallow rocky bottom. Also picking up Flatty on surface... some don't even get hooked by... the hooks 🤦🤔🤭
Few other fish turn up when the sun goes down, too..

Why can't more King Salmon be silly like these two 😅 85 and 77cm respectively. Also (amidst the Cod and Tarpoooon..) 3 small Fingermark just under 30cm

Got a 62cm Barra which came home, Tyson getting 2x Barra right around legal which were released. (One smashing a hardbody right next to the boat in 2 foot of fast flowing water...bit of chaos)

Nart bhed for a relatively small window of fishing!

Couple fish from a tough, windy AF day yesterday.
PB Fingermark (49cm)... nearly 16km upstream from the mouth of a creek...is pretty wild
And Mangrove Jack are always welcome to eat my lures! at any size, they're all great fun
