One thing you'll notice when you come for a relaxation massage with me is that I don't talk during the treatment. 🤫
For new clients, I'll always let you know that you're welcome to speak up if you're uncomfortable, need an adjustment, or have any questions. Beyond that, I don't engage in conversation.
It's not because I don't care. It's because I do.
When the mind is busy listening, processing, and responding, the process of slowing down hasn't truly begun. My massage and the space I create are your opportunity to simply BE.
While I work to release tension, hydrate soft connective tissue, and encourage the body to unwind, your job is to surrender to the experience.
Many of my clients come to me because they have busy minds and find it difficult to switch off. If that's you, I've got you!
Slowing down is a learned skill, especially when we're navigating a compromised nervous system, carrying stress, or juggling a million things at once. But with practice, it becomes easier. And when we begin to let go, space becomes available.
If you find slowing down challenging, here's a simple tip:
Start by lengthening your exhale just a little. Allow your body to soften into the massage table. Then bring your attention to one area of your body at a time.
Notice what you feel without creating a story around it. There's no need to figure out why it's sore, how long it's been sore, or what needs fixing. Simply notice the sensation and breathe with it.
When your mind inevitably wanders to your to-do list, tomorrow's plans, or that complicated relationship puzzle you've been trying to solve, gently bring it back to your breath and your body.
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
Over time, you'll find it easier to let go of what's happening outside the room and become more present with what's happening within it.
And that's often where the real relaxation begins.

3 spots left for this amazing offer.
Reminder:
This is also yoga.
Sitting, breathing, watching the sky change, observing, inviting movement into the body and sipping something nice.
Yoga doesn’t have to be crazy shapes, inversions or shape after shape.
It doesn’t have to be what’s often shared on insta and facebook!
It is also subtle, slow, mindful and reflective. But generally that doesn’t get as much attention so people don’t post about it.
Let this be a reminder.
Your yoga doesn’t have to have frills 🙌
Ps: come on now, no judgment on the Melb United supporter jersey 🤪

Since I began teaching yoga in 2017, I have closed almost every class in the same way: one chant of Om, followed by three chants of *Shanti*.
Peace to you.
Peace to me.
Peace to all.
It became part of the rhythm of my teaching. Familiar. Comforting. Expected.
Yet after returning from my recent holiday and spending some time reflecting, I've realised something unexpected: it no longer feels like a fit.
There is no dramatic reason. No philosophical shift. No event that triggered it.
It simply feels complete.
And that's a strange thing sometimes, isn't it? We often want a logical explanation for change. We want to justify it, analyse it, and understand it before giving ourselves permission to move in a different direction.
But not all change arrives with a clear reason.
Sometimes something that once felt deeply aligned simply doesn't anymore.
Sometimes we outgrow things.
Sometimes we evolve.
Sometimes a chapter quietly comes to an end.
It's not that I no longer wish peace for myself, for you, or for the wider world. 🤣 If anything, perhaps I wish it more than ever. It just doesn't feel necessary for me to voice it at the end of every class.
So I'm listening to that feeling.
One of the greatest lessons yoga has taught me is that life is constantly changing, and we are allowed to change with it. We are allowed to rethink things. We are allowed to change our minds. We are allowed to let go of what once fit and trust what is emerging instead.
Not every change needs a detailed explanation. (although this post is kinda feeling like one ha ha)
Sometimes it is enough to simply say:
"That no longer feels like me."
And trust that is reason enough.

TALK TOPIC
How does stress show up in your body?
Tight shoulders? Headaches? A busy mind? Poor sleep? Digestive issues? Jaw tension?
It's fascinating how differently stress can manifest from one person to the next.
Two years ago this month, my family and I went through one of the most stressful periods of our lives. Trauma found its way into our world and, at the time, I genuinely thought I was coping quite well...most of the time....
Then a visit to the dentist told a different story.
Without even realising it, I had been clenching my jaw in my sleep. Over time, the tension had become so chronic that it had actually begun to reshape the bone in my mouth. 😔
It was a powerful reminder that while the mind may convince us we're managing, the body is often telling its own story.
Stress can wear many disguises. Sometimes it arrives as tension, fatigue, anxiety, pain, inflammation, disrupted sleep, or simply a feeling that something isn't quite right. Often, the body remembers what the mind is still trying to process.
(The Body Keeps the Score is a great read if this interests you.)
So I'm curious...
How does stress show up in your body?
And perhaps more importantly, what helps you come back to yourself when it does?
I think one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is simply learning to listen. Whether that's through movement, stillness, massage, breath, rest, or taking a moment to slow down enough to hear what the body has been trying to say all along.

JUNE YOGA
New Yogis Welcome!
A little about me...
I have been teaching yoga since 2017. My journey began with a 200-hour teacher training, followed by an additional 300-hour certification, and my learning has continued ever since. With over 2,300 continuous teaching hours, I am certified in Ashtanga, Yin Yoga, Yin Philosophy, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Myofascial Release, Children's Yoga, and have additional training in the Polyvagal Theory and trauma-informed practice.
My approach to teaching isn't rigid or prescriptive. Instead, I aim to create a space that encourages connection, self-awareness, and a deeper sense of alignment with yourself. For yoga is far more than shapes and poses, it's a practice of coming home to who you are.
You'll find that I offer plenty of options within my classes because yoga truly is for every BODY. Whether you're completely new to yoga, returning after a break, or have years of experience, my intention is to help you find a practice that feels supportive, accessible, and meaningful for you.
For class information and a full list of pricing options, please visit my website.
