Mad Mountain Bike Club

Attention all members, this is an important notice to all.

We please remind all members and MTB club vistors that the only buildings we should be anywhere near at Rowallan Park is our clubhouse (Humpy) and the toilet block loacted near our carpark.

All other facilities inside the park are for campers or scouts and not us. There has been reports of people in areas they shouldn't be and doing things they shouldn't (ridign down stairs, moving things & throwing items) be at these other locations.

We want everyone in Rowallan Park to be safe at all times.

There is no session this week due to the public holiday for the Mackay Show. We hope everyone has a great time enjoying the show, we know we will and we look foward to seeing you all again for our last session of Term 2 on the 25th of June.

It’s that time of year again!

The Frontline Equipment Maintenance MAD RUSH 6hr is here!

This race is a fun filled cross country endurance event raced in a multi lap format. This multi lap format allows plenty of chances for pit stops for nutrition, mechanical touch ups or if you just need a break.

This event is won by doing the most laps in the 6Hour duration. Due to this, as long as 1 lap is completed you are classed as a finisher. You do not have to race for the entire 6 hours, just as long as you can. A reminder for those doing the whole 6hours, you WILL need lights for the end of the race. This event finishes at 8:00pm.
We will have food and drinks available for purchase and we will have the fire going to keep everyone warm.

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday for an amazing afternoon.

Awesome work to the MAD crew who made the trip down to Rockhampton for the 60km XCM race. We had strong representation at the race with most categories having MAD faces on the steps.

Welcome back to Community Partner Wednesday! This week, we are throwing the spotlight on the Mackay and District (MAD) Mountain Bike Club and sharing how your festival ride can support their incredible local trail network.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝗔𝗗 𝗠𝗧𝗕 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯
The Mackay and District (MAD) Mountain Bike Club is a dedicated community organisation promoting mountain biking for riders of all ages and skill levels. They manage and maintain the extensive trail network at Rowallan Park, providing a safe and exciting environment for both recreational riding and competitive racing. Beyond the trails, the club fosters an amazing social atmosphere through regular group rides, skills clinics, and events aimed at growing our local cycling culture!

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲?
All monies raised by MAD MTB Club through this year's festival will go directly toward the upkeep of the MTB park and trails at Rowallan Park. This funding is crucial for keeping the tracks safe, well-maintained, and great for all club members and the wider public to enjoy year-round.

The MAD MTB Club crew will be bringing the energy before the ride even begins! You will find their volunteers outside Corry Cycles Mackay managing the Rider Pack Collection on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 August from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Stop by, say hi, and grab your gear!
