It looks like a scene out of 007 but there's nothing James Bond about this. It's just another workday for our Marine Pilots! 😎
Here the ship's crew is rigging up a pilot ladder so our Marine Pilot can board a vessel out at sea. 🚢 Climbing the ladder takes physical strength and skill to undertake - especially at night or in windy conditions. 💪
Every day, our Marine Pilots follow strict international standards to safely navigate ships in and out of our Ports.

Mackay Southern Breakwater closed this Sunday 3 July. 🏅🏃♀️
The breakwater will be temporarily closed from the early hours of Sunday 3 July until 11am for the Mackay Triathlon Club Multisport Festival.

Did you know the Port of Mackay has one of the world’s largest bulk sugar terminals? 😮
Now that the crush has officially kicked off for the year we're excited to watch the STL Sugar Shed fill up! 🚜
Fun fact: last financial year our port exported more than 1 million tonnes of raw and refined sugar. 🙌
