What a day🌟🌟
Today we had the pleasure of Michael Neser coming to town to promote the upcoming test match at GBRA. As part of the visit we took him to visit the students at St Johns Catholic Primary Walkerston to get involved in some games of cricket and a skills sessions.
To say the kids and adults had a blast is an understatement. The conversation tonight at dinner tables would have been awesome. " I hit Neser for 6", "I got out snicking a ball to 1st slip", i got Neser out"
Michael was so generous with his time and involvement with all the kids. An absolute legend
I am sure every child would have taken their signed poster home and told mum or dad to book tickets to the test.
Bring on August we can't wait to have Neser and the Australian team back.

Due to more than 30mm of rainfall overnight, Harrup Park has become waterlogged, and a decision has been made to postpone today’s Mackay Whitsunday Academy session.

🏏 On Monday, we wrapped up the final session of our 4-week Girls Smash Series at Harrup Park!

The girls had an amazing time, from putting on protective gear for the very first time to learning how to move and play comfortably in it. We had plenty of fun with our "Yes, No, Wait" running game, worked hard on our batting drills, and then put it all into practice out on the pitch for a game.

The girls had an absolute blast, and it was fantastic to see their confidence grow each week. We can't wait to do it all again next term and continue helping our players build the skills and confidence they need to pad up and join a team when the Girls Heat League kicks off in Term 4!

👧 Girls of all abilities aged 9–15 years are welcome to join.

As National Volunteers Week draws to a close, we want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank all the incredible people who help get our players on the field each and every week.🙌💙

From our Committee Members, who spend countless hours planning throughout the preseason and during the season — all while juggling full-time jobs and the chaos of family life — to the parents and grandparents travelling across the countryside clocking up hours on the road, your dedication does not go unnoticed.👏

Whether it’s coaching, managing, scoring, preparing fields, working in the canteen, or lending a hand wherever needed, every contribution plays a part in making our club what it is.

The list truly goes on, and without all of you amazing volunteers, we simply could not play the best game in the world.
