Back on the 24th of January, the rains were just starting and we were keen to have a go. The water level was just high enough for a white water run and we had a fairly new group of paddlers learning how to paddle white water. It was at a perfiect level to practice some of the common moves all white water paddlers use. We did have a couple swims, which is all part of the learning process.
It's been awhile since I have done a video of our local paddles, but this one today was such a gem. No massive rapids but lots of fun with a great group of paddlers. We paddled a little known creek in our Pioneer Vally called Owens Creek. It can only be paddled with just the right amount of water and today was perfect. A tad over 11 kms through tropical rain forest, open gravel runs, cow paddocks and the odd fallen tree in just over three hours. Of course that included the mandatory stop for smoko and a swim.

Great day at the Big Boys Toys today. Thanks to all those who came for a chat. Still plenty of specials left for the Kayaksnthings closing down sale.
