We only had a select number of our groups entered at this eisteddfod, but they represented WSDA with such beautiful dancing, teamwork and professionalism. We had a lot of fun at this comp so thank you for hosting such a wonderful event!

What an incredible honour for our WSDA troupes to be recognised at the Extreme Dance Comp Gala Night! ✨

What a memorable evening we all had, celebrating dance and enjoying some outstanding performances from so many talented studios. We loved watching the incredible talent on display and being part of this special event again.

From hundreds of performances throughout Extreme Eisteddfod, 8 WSDA troupes were selected to perform at the Gala Night, recognised as some of the highest-scoring and most entertaining routines across a range of age groups and genres.

To make the night even more unforgettable, three of our troupes received major special awards from adjudicators, Peta Markham-Ward- Inspire and Penny Martin :

We are SO lucky to have Claudia Hastings teaching our next pop up industry class, a contemporary / Lyrical masterclass!

Bringing the energy and expertise of professional dancers and choreographers straight to our studio! This special class is designed to give students a taste of the industry, learning from experienced professionals who have worked in commercial dance, stage productions, and beyond. An opportunity to train with top-tier talent, gain fresh inspiration, and challenge yourself in a dynamic, high-energy class.
Open to ALL dancers (including those outside of WSDA), looking to expand their skills and experience the industry firsthand!

👑 WORLD BALLET CROWN NATIONAL FINALISTS 👑

A huge congratulations to Kyra & Ayano on being selected as National Finalists for the Ballet Crown! 🩰✨

Also to Angelina & Natalie, who were selected from the NSW State Finals as National Finals reserves!

Their journey began with an online audition, where dancers from across Australia submitted entries for consideration. Following their successful auditions, nine WSDA students competed at the NSW State Finals in May, where they earned their place amongst some of the country’s most promising young ballet dancers.

We are thrilled to share that Kyra and Ayano have been selected to progress to the National Finals! This is an incredible achievement that reflects their hard work, commitment, perseverance, and passion for ballet.

In August, Kyra and Ayano will take part in an exciting week of masterclasses, coaching, and performances alongside talented dancers from across Australia as they compete at the National Finals.

We are incredibly proud of you all for what you have achieved so far. We can’t wait to watch you continue to grow, embrace this amazing opportunity, and shine on stage. 🤍🩰✨
