Tomorrow folks!!!
We are super excited to hit the track tomorrow with our Wollongong Roller Derby League besties to play against Newcastle Roller Derby League at 4pm.

We are also hosting this round at Niagara Park Stadium on the Central Coast and we have a bunch of great raffle prizes, a silent auction, lollie guessing game and sick merch all happening to help support our little club.

Come on down tomorrow - doors open 11:30am with first game kicking off at 12noon. Cafeteria open selling hot chippies, coffee and more.

5x5 Roller Derby Championship

Our next intake and Skate Fit term begins soon!!!!

Where: 83-85 Chelmsford Dr, Metford - Hall behind the Community Baptist Church.

When: Friday 28th August at 6:30pm

What you need: if you’d like to skate you will need roller skates, helmet, knee guard and wrist guards (elbow guards optional)

You can also just come watch and ask questions so you get a vibe of what this awesome crazy fun sport it’s all about.

Maitland’s Kimmy KaBoom had a little day trip to Western Sydney Rollers Bin Chicken Boot Camp yesterday to teach some jammer and blocker things.

What a great time it was! Thanks Western Sydney Rollers for the time, efforts and thought put into creating a wonderful event. Taking the time to put these learning opportunities together is so important for the development of roller derby across our region. 🛼🙌

Last night we/Maitland Roller Derby held our Annual General Meeting. One of the special things that happened at said meeting was awarding a LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP to founding member DVS-666. That’s 13 years-ish with the Maito crew.

During her time DVS has been a rock of support for the club, champion hockey stop demonstrator, president, professional bbq sausage cooker, social butterfly, cheeky ratbag, and a best mate to many.

Maybe tears were shed, maybe not. 🥹

It was a really fun game that had some debut skaters sprinkled throughout both teams and we couldn’t be more proud of how they all performed 🥹🛼🫶

Northern Beaches PCYC kicking of at 12:00 with team Crash v Sydney O. We have some Maitland skaters fielding positions in team Crash.

We then take on WSR/S2D2 with our buddies from Wollongong at 2:00pm.

So come along and watch the crazy action of roller derby this Saturday. Last game at 4:00pm our hosts Northern Beaches Roller Derby v Newcastle.
