🏆 GRAND FINAL DAY IS HERE! 🏆

Well folks… it all comes down to this one! The games we’ve been playing for all season. The big one. The one where everything is on the line.

4 teams. 2 Grand Finals. 1 massive day of hockey.

First up at 12pm, it’s the B Grade Grand Final:
🐝 Bluebees v Scorchers 🔥

Then at 2pm, we’ve got the big A Grade Grand Final:
🐑 Rams-Black v Hornets 🛩

Four teams have made it this far, but only two will walk away with the title.

It’s been a cracking 2026 Women’s Competition, and we reckon there’s no better way to spend a Saturday than watching these four teams leave it all out on the turf.

So bring your mates, bring the noise and get ready for one hell of a Grand Final day!

Wow. This picture looks very… empty. 😂

Only ONE game yesterday, but don’t be fooled — it was anything but dull.

It was suspense right until the final whistle, with a 1–0 scoreline securing the deal for Scorchers and booking their ticket to next week’s B Grade Grand Final.

Commiserations to Rams-White, who showed us all they are a team to watch in 2027 as they continue to build. There’s plenty to be proud of from this season.

But yesterday belonged to Scorchers.

From 9th place during the regular season to now playing for the B Grade premiership. WHAT. A. STORY.

Will it have a fairytale ending? We’ll all find out in one week. 👀

A rematch of last year’s Grand Final.

Can Hornets pull off another upset? Or will Rams finally shake that monkey off their back and claim the title?

The ever-consistent Bluebees take on the rising juggernaut that is Scorchers.

How far can this incredible Scorchers run go? And will Bluebees prove once again that consistency really is the key to success?

THE ROAD TO THE BIG DANCE 👀🏑

Ok folks, there’s just ONE game on this Saturday… but it’s a big one.

Because when the final whistle blows, we’ll know who is heading to the B Grade Grand Final to meet the Bluebees the following week.

Will it be Rams-White, determined to show just how far they’ve come after finishing with the wooden spoon in 2025?

Or will it be Scorchers, who had a rocky start to the season, forfeiting games due to numbers, before rallying spectacularly and climbing their way up the ladder — one solid performance and upset at a time?

Two teams. Two very different journeys.
One spot in the Grand Final.

There’s only one way to find out. Get yourself down to the field Saturday and let’s see who has one more big performance left in them.

SEMI-FINALS: AND THEN THERE WERE FIVE 🔥

Things are starting to heat up and we’re not just talking about the weather.

As we all know, that means finals are here — and our semi-finals certainly did not disappoint! Some great hockey on display, a few surprises and teams playing with plenty of heart.

👏 A GRADE
Well done to Hornets, who dug deep and staged an upset over Rebels, booking their golden ticket straight through to the **A Grade Grand Final**.

Waiting for them are Rams-Black, who capitalised on their week off and had a cheeky hit-out against the Rams men. Because apparently a week off doesn’t necessarily mean rest. 😂

And so, the A Grade Grand Final is locked and loaded — book it in because this one is going to be a absolute cracker.

🏑 B GRADE
Meanwhile, B Grade saw Bluebees being clinical as per usual, advancing straight through to the Grand Final.

Rams-White will have a second chance, but they’ll come up against a red-hot Scorchers, who got the better of Norths on Saturday.

We now say goodbye to Rebels and Norths for the 2026 season. Both teams have been strong and consistent performers throughout the year, and we look forward to seeing them back next season — where we suspect both will be forces to be reckoned with.

But for now, the race is on... One Grand Final spot remains. Who wants it more? 👀🏑

SEMI FINALS ARE HERE 🏑🔥

Ok, semi finals are upon us — and do we have some action in store for everyone this Saturday!

The final standings are in and the competition now splits into A Grade, a battle of the top four, and B Grade, positions 5–8.

Congratulations to Rams-Black, finishing top of the table and taking out the A Grade Minor Premiership. Further accolades for Bluebees, finishing 5th and claiming the B Grade Minor Premiership. 👏

But forget all of that… because minor premierships are nice, but the big shiny thing at the end is what we're really here for. 😏🏆

Unfortunately, our ladder 2nd-place team, Rustlers, have withdrawn from the finals series after being hit with a string of injuries. With numbers impacted, they were unable to field a viable team for this Saturday and the following week, and made the difficult decision to withdraw earlier this week. I can assure you this did not come lightly. As a team who pride themselves on playing a high calibre of hockey, it was with a heavy heart that they made the call that withdrawing was the safest and fairest option.

So, the finals picture has had a little reshuffle.

Rams-Black go straight through to the A Grade Grand Final in two weeks' time. 🎟️

And the winner of the Minor Semi Final between Hornets and Rebels gets themselves a very handy golden ticket to the Grand Final, where Rams-Black will be waiting. 🏆

So dust off the finals nerves, find your loudest cheering voice and get yourself down to the fields.

The ladder points are done. The regular season is history. Now it's time to leave it all out there...💪

Some teams are heading into finals looking a little more comfortable than others, but the slate is about to be wiped clean. Now it’s time to dig deep, bring the intensity and leave it all out on the field.

To everyone who has pulled on the shirt, chased the ball, scored the goals, made the saves, volunteered, umpired, coached, supported and cheered from the sidelines — well done! ❤️

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: REBELS AWARD THEMSELVES TRIPLE POINTS! 🚨

Following their 2–1 win over Hornets, Rebels have apparently decided that three points simply wasn't enough and have self-awarded themselves TRIPLE POINTS.

Because why play by the normal rules when you can just make your own? 🤷‍♀️

MHI President and proud Rebelian Janelle E has been sighted whisking the trophies away to be engraved with REBELS before anyone has had a chance to dispute it.

Presidential power? Absolutely
Bias? We think so!
Fake news? Well… mostly. 😂

But hey, we’ve got your attention now…

In reality, Rebels had already secured 3rd place heading into the final round, so the result wasn't going to change their position. But that certainly didn't stop them from putting on a show — and what a game it was.

FEATURED GAME | REBELS 2–1 HORNETS

Rebels came out firing, with Katrina and Jessica finding the back of the net early to give them a 2–0 lead at quarter time.

From there, it became a much more even contest, with both sides creating opportunities and battling hard for possession. Hornets' response finally came through Donna Summers, who converted from a corner to bring it back to 2–1.

The final quarter was absolute chaos, with Hornets throwing everything at Rebels in search of the equaliser. Rebels' goalkeeper Kirra was outstanding, pulling off some sensational saves to keep her side in front as the pressure mounted.

The final whistle eventually sounded, confirming a 2–1 Rebels victory.

And perhaps the biggest takeaway? This was a pretty handy preview of what we're in for next week, with Rebels and Hornets set to meet again in the Minor Semi Final.

If Saturday was anything to go by, we're in for an absolute cracker. 🔥🏑
