Congrats to Acram (Red) on his win yesterday in Perth.

Acram was having his 3rd fight and best so far. Acram showed some good boxing skills using his good jab and footwork to control the first 2 rounds.

The 3rd round his opponent Tane came out strong but Acram remained composed in what was an evenly contested round.

Well done to both Boxers.

Unfortunately, Shane and Micheal were meant to fight as well but missed out due to injury and opponent pullouts.

A good day in the office last night for the Mandurah Boys.

Shane " hands of Stone/black elephant " Flaherty was up 1st, 2nd last fight of the night in his 1st intermediate level fight.

1st round was close. 3 judges gave it to Shane 2 judges to his opponent. Shane boxed well landing some solid head and body shots. His general ring movement and ring IQ has improved in the last few fights.

2nd round similar to the 1st. Another 3-2 win to Shane.

3rd round tired a little bit due to the longer rounds in intermediate bouts.

Won the fight 3-2 in a closely contested bout. Good fight fighting a more experienced boxer at a higher level, Well Done

Michael " Hurricane/ White Elephant" Carter was next. Last fight of the night against 1 of the best 65kg Boxers in WA who beat Michael pretty convincingly last year.

1st round Michael started strong and boxed brilliantly in a classy contest. Did everything pretty much right. His jab, defense, angles head movement, combos were impressive. Won the round 4-1.

2nd round was similar. He looked good in a high-level contest. Taking that round 5-0.

3rd round his opponent came out hard putting a lot of pressure on Michael but Michael in most part stayed composed and absorbed the pressure in an even round.

Michael won the fight 4-1.

Very Happy with Michael, he stood up in a very difficult fight and should be proud of himself. The work Michael puts into his training is outstanding and starting to pay off.

Michael Carter and Shane Flaherty will be competing tomorrow up in Fremantle.

Michael is up against one of the best 65kg Boxers in WA and is ready for a high intensity bout that he will learn a lot from.

Shane has a tough bout as well. His original opponent pulled out at the last moment but has been replaced with a more experienced opponent. Shane learned a lot from his last fight and should produce a more composed and cerebral performance.

Boxing update for last 2 Sundays. All 4 of the boys should have been boxing a week ago Sunday but due to the storm and a power outage at the venue only 2 got to fight.

Shane was 1st up against a tough Boxer from Perth. In a close bout that could have gone either way his opponent took the win. Both boxers had a similar aggressive style which made for an entertaining fight. Shane will learn from this fight and will box smarter next time. Good fight Well Done

Cole was next up. In a clash of the Super Heavys, Cole had his moments but not enough of them. Cole's defense was solid but was unable to get his offense off at important times. Cole needs to believe in himself more because he has the skills. Tried hard but wasn't his day.

Yesterday the 2 boxers who missed out a week ago got to fight.

Acram was 1st up. Acram won the 1st round 3-2. Acram had a good reach advantage but let his opponent too close to him, giving his opponent opportunities to score. 2nd rd Acram controlled the range and the round frustrating his opponent in the process. 3rd rd similar to 2nd, Acrams reach too difficult to deal with. Acram showed some good boxing skills, footwork, angles at times and won pretty convincingly. Well Done

Lastly Michael stepped up a weight Div to fight a talented Boxer from Perth. He won the 1st round by a close margin but controlled the 2nd round with all judges scoring it to him. Michael's jab, infighting and defense were a highlight of this bout. Michael won the 3rd round as well in a high-quality bout. Michael is starting to believe in himself and his skills and it shows in his boxing. Well done.

Monday 16yo+ class.

Tuesday 10-15yo class about to do some drill work upstairs in the Hall.

Shane "Hands of Stone" Flaherty got a win yesterday in Bunbury in convincing style. Shane won by 1st round TKO landing some big shots to the head and liver. The ref gave his opponent two 8 counts then called the fight off.
