Alex won a place on the Australian commonwealth games Boxing Team today with a beautiful display of boxing over a very courageous Vincent Pham from NSW. Alex will be joined by W.A boxers Caitlin Parker, Billy Polkinghorn and Charlie Senior to represent Australia in Birmingham U.K. at the games in August. Congratulations and Good Luck to you all.

Final Training Session with Alex yesterday morning before he heads to Queensland to continue his career. It's been a great journey so far and we wish him every success. All our best wishes Alex. Can't wait to see how far you can go. The world is your oyster.

Alex lost a close split points decision yesterday to the Zambian boxer Chinyemba. As always we are very proud of Alex ,we know how hard he trains and the sacrifices he makes. Thanks to all who support him. His journey is far from over and his best is still to come.

After the long wait and years of hard work and sacrifice Alex is finally on his way to the stadium to carry out his dream of competing in the Olympic games. For those that don't know he will be fighting Patrick Chinyemba of Zambia at 4pm WA time. Alex is in career best condition and ready to perform at his best. No one has worked harder for this chance. Here's wishing our champ the best of luck as he chases his dreams. Go Alex! ๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐ŸฅŠ

Alex lost to his Thai opponent last night. He got off to a good start winning the first round,mid way through the second round momentum changed and the Thai boxer got over him.Alex fought hard to the end as he always does. He still has one more chance in this tournament to qualify for Tokyo.Tomorrow he will face the Iranian champion and he is prepared for the fight of his life. GO ALEX

A big win to Alex Winwood last night against the champion from Hong Kong at the Asian Olympic Qualifiers. Alex will front up against the Thai champion tomorrow night. Best of luck Alex, we are all right behind you.

Alex off to Canberra tonight for a training camp. Will be fighting in Jordan at the Olympic qualifiers 3rd-11th next month. Got in some great rounds this morning with 2 very good fighters, Jackson Jon England and world ranked TJ Doheny.
