➕️ FIRST AID REMINDER – RACE DAY🚑

We are committed to ensuring that our First Aid volunteers are appropriately qualified and understand the correct procedures to follow in the event of a racing incident.

We know it can be stressful and concerning to see a rider come down on the track. However, we must remind everyone that no one should enter the track or attempt to provide first aid unless they have been assigned the First Aid role or have been specifically asked to assist.

If a parent is invited onto the track by a First Aid volunteer to assist with their rider, please wait for instructions before taking any action. This includes not attempting to lift the rider, remove their helmet, gloves, or any other equipment unless directed to do so.

Our First Aid volunteers are highly competent, experienced, and caring, and their priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our riders.

To ensure volunteer points are recorded correctly, all volunteers must register their role using the Sign Up link below:

🏆 Volunteer points count towards your end of round Trophy, so it is important that your role is logged each week.

👉 Each rider must have a minimum of 2 volunteer points to be eligible for a trophy.

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming a fantastic team of Alcoa employees to Mandurah BMX Club.

They generously volunteered their time to help with a huge clean up and tackle some much needed jobs around the track and club grounds.

We honestly can't remember the last time the grounds saw this much work completed in a single day! Their hard work, enthusiasm, and willingness to lend a hand made a massive difference.

📣 Volunteers Needed for Official Practice Sessions

We are currently looking for helpers to ensure our official practice sessions can go ahead as planned and on time.

Kalgoorlie may be the host club, but this is a state event, and it requires support from all clubs. If you want your kids to have the best possible experience over the two race days, we encourage everyone to get involved and help out.

Without enough volunteers to fill the required positions, we will unfortunately not be able to run the official practice session. So, your support really does make a difference.

❗️Don't forget, we have track hire booked today from 1:00pm – 2:00pm if you would like to get some extra laps in and dial in the track before racing. Timing will be on - if you would like to see your times, head to rego hut with your transponder number.
