The Cole Classic has always been about more than swimming.

Yes, it is about getting out in the water, challenging yourself, bringing friends and family together and enjoying one of Australia’s great ocean swimming events.

But at its heart, the Cole Classic is a community event.

One of the great things about being part of a community is having the opportunity to support people and organisations who are making a difference.

We get it. It’s winter. The mornings are dark, the ocean is cold, and staying under the doona can feel a whole lot more appealing than pulling on your swimmers and heading to the beach.

Maybe you’ve been one of the committed few swimming all winter… our latest poll suggests at least 40% of you are still making it out for your Winter ocean swims. Or… maybe your goggles have been sitting untouched since our 2026 event.

Either way, the good news is that warmer days are on their way, and that means ocean swimming season isn’t too far behind.
