It’s the last weekend of Winter, and we can feel Spring in the air already. Bring on swim season 🙌🏻 🌊

We get it. It’s winter. The mornings are dark, the ocean is cold, and staying under the doona can feel a whole lot more appealing than pulling on your swimmers and heading to the beach.

Maybe you’ve been one of the committed few swimming all winter… our latest poll suggests at least 40% of you are still making it out for your Winter ocean swims. Or… maybe your goggles have been sitting untouched since our 2026 event.

Either way, the good news is that warmer days are on their way, and that means ocean swimming season isn’t too far behind.

As we start planning for the 2027 Cole Classic, we’d love to hear from our swimmers about our sustainability initiatives!

For the past few years we’ve been focused on:
💙 Reducing non-essential single-use plastics
♻️ Recycling more through dedicated waste stations
🥽 Giving old swim caps and goggles a second life
🤝 Working with ethical and sustainable partners
🌏 Sharing ocean-friendly tips and education
🐬 Supporting ocean conservation initiatives that protect our beautiful Northern Beaches coastline

But we know there’s always more we can do as we continue our partnership alongside Surfrider Foundation Australia.

We’d love your input 👉🏼 Whether it’s reducing waste, protecting our oceans, improving recycling, or something we’ve never considered, we’d love to hear your ideas…
