This adventure journey with this stranger I met 22 years ago has been one of the most satisfying things in my life.
Last weekend, we celebrated 15 years in holy matrimony or sapthapadi. Seems like I have known her for multiple lives.
I ran-walk-ran a 15km slow run this morning to celebrate this glorious part of friendship.
Happy anniversary, girlfriend. Cheers ๐ฅ to many more years of adventure along with our lovely two girls. Cheers to our SUVY Family - the only thing that matters to us.

I completed the 2023 Sydney's 7 Bridges Walk with Suchitra and friends.
This is our longest walk together at an event. I have had one of the best 6.5 hours (including breaks) with my wife in recent times without our girls. We held hands, supported each other, massaged our aching muscles, watched for obstacles and managed our hydration and fueling along the challenging 27.5km. In turn, we rediscovered our bonding and purpose of teenage and college friendship. 23 years and forever. ๐๐
The previous weekend, I completed a 12.5km hike in the Blue Mountains with my elder daughter, Vibes. I love this family bonding time outside the homeโmore power to the SUVY Family.
We want to thank my cousins Ratnam Anna and Kavita Akka for caring for our girls while we adventured. You took such lovely care of our girls; thank you so much.
Thanks to Hemu ('Parramatta Express') and Udhaya ('Chennai Express'), their friends are a good team. Varun Arora was brilliant with his training today. He joined us from Wollstonecraft village (where he completed his walk of the same event) until Milson's Point village and shared his journey in preparing for his 80km Ultra run next Saturday. Varun is an inspiring runner. I am confident he will achieve the cut-off time.
More memories are to be created.

2015 TCS Bangalore 10km was our first 10km run together as a couple. We have run many more events, and even did a team Duathlon together.
Today we run our home with two lovely girls.
Waiting for all four of us to take part in a single event. Vibes and I have taken part in Spartan Races, and a few Hikes in Sydney. As a family we have done many short hikes across Australia and New Zealand.

Support Crew update - Pre-Event
The last 2-3 days before the event was a defined set of activities. But the planning took 2-3 weeks.
Aid bags packed by each hiker, menus decided, groceries shopping and cutlery.
Big thanks to for being my coach, auditor and advisor on what to pack, what to remove, what is practical, what is problematic given the conditions.

๐โต๐ Cape Baily Lighthouse & Cape Solander Cave Hike
10km | 16k steps | 60% humidity| 23C | 10-12kmph winds | 23 hikers | 1 lighthouse | 1 cave
Destination search and idea:
Thanks to the weather gods for a ting of clouds to help most of our hike to be pleasant.
Wonderful hike by a set of random 'Sydney Escapades' hikers on an early Sunday morning.
We met in the wee hours at Kurnell Visitor center only to realise the cliffs were west-facing. Headed to the Yena Picnic area just in time to catch the lovely sunrise. Ours (Suchitra and mine) first sea sunrise in Sydney.
After a fun-filled introduction with each off (many hiking for the first time in Australia although living there for many years), we head out to find the Cape Solander Cave. Guides by many bloggers didn't help as we retorted to reaching our one-way destination of Cape Baily Lighthouse.
After a relaxing breaking , we head out further only to realise it was a futile effort. With a quick reflex by Khushnuma we realised the route to the cave was right next to the Helipad near Cape Solander lookout parking.
Hemu & I acted as the explorer ants to find the elusive, unique & hidden route. Eureka!
Parramatta Runners , & others helped every hiker in our gang down safely. We spent the next 2hrs clicking tons of photos, videos & chit-chatting. Until our heart's content.
With lovely adventurous memories, new connections, tons of conversations, laughter & beautiful pictures, we wrapped up at 11:30 am to head back home.
Glad we didn't find the Cave earlier. Since it was closer to the car park & unique, we would have lacked the zeal to achieve our distance hike goal today.
Big thanks to 23 hikers who all came together based on a simple WhatsApp message & 'Call for action.
Here are so many more memories and fun.
Precaution: This route although kids-friendly (in terms of elevation & trail) is not advisable for them. The entire route has sea cliffs and is unprotected from any barricades.
