https://www.lssdance.com.au/forms Dance classes at LSSDance are suitable for children from 3 year old upwards, and cater for recreational dancers as well as those students aspiring to a potential career in dance. Dance classes are held in Mansfield and Alexandra. LSSDance provide classical ballet classes for children from three upwards. Dance Fusion classes are suitable for children from seven upwards. Dance Fusion, a new syllabus introduced by Southern Federation of Dance is very popular, it combines a number of popular dance genres into one class. With the popularity of So You Think You Can Dance the students love to learn cheerleading, bollywood, African, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary, jazz, as well as a separate hip hop class. Whatever reason motivates you to enroll in a dance class there are a multitude of long term advantages to be gained.

Come along and join us as we take a trip through the history of dance! We’ll be watching videos of some incredible dancers and performances from different styles and eras, discovering how dance has changed and evolved over time.
Bring a friend, Mum, Dad or someone special to watch with you — everyone is welcome!
We’ll be watching in the studio, so bring a pillow, beanbag or anything comfy to sit on. Get cosy and settle in for our journey through the wonderful world of dance!
Snacks are welcome too! We just ask that you avoid anything that might spill or leave the floor sticky… otherwise, I’ll be handing you the cleaning cloth!

What an amazing weekend of dance at LSSDance!

From Dance Through History with our seniors to exam practice on Saturday, we are feeling incredibly proud of our dancers. They have worked so hard, and we are so excited to see them take on their dance exams!

A huge shoutout to our teachers too! We are so proud of the time, care and dedication you have put into getting our kids ready. We can’t wait to see them shine!

Thank you to everyone who came along to Dance Through History!

Our Senior School had the chance to watch some incredible dances from films that have helped shape dance today. We hope you learned something new, felt inspired, or simply enjoyed watching some amazing dancing!

We loved being able to offer this free and educational afternoon to our dancers.

🎉 Match Your Drink Bottle Week! 💧

From Monday 17th – Thursday 20th August, we’re adding a little extra fun to dance classes with Match Your Drink Bottle Week!

The challenge is simple… dress to match your drink bottle! 🩵💚💜❤️

Got a blue drink bottle? Wear blue! Pink bottle? Come in pink! It can be as simple as a coloured T-shirt, or if you’re feeling extra creative, go head-to-toe in your chosen colour!

We’ll be taking a fun class photo and there will be a prize for the most creative outfit. Most importantly, it’s just a chance to have a bit of mid-term fun together!

We can’t wait to see everyone’s colourful creations!

You might come to adult ballet for the dancing…

But your body and brain are getting so much more out of it.

Ballet is weight-bearing movement that supports strong bones, while improving balance, strength, coordination and mobility.

And your brain is working too — remembering combinations, listening to music and learning new movements. Research has even linked regular dancing with a lower risk of dementia.

So really… adult ballet is good for your body, your brain AND your soul.

And yes, it’s still allowed to just be fun.
