It is with a heavy heart that this beautiful mare, Claire, is being offered for sale as a broodmare.
She is registered with the AWHA as a Premium Mare, receiving 80% for movement and 79% for conformation in her assessment. Claire is EA registered.
She is an eye-catching mare with quality movement and, more importantly, an exceptional temperament. Claire is kind, affectionate and loves being around people. She has always been easy to handle and a pleasure to have in the stable.
Unfortunately, Claire recently sustained a suspensory ligament injury. Despite a successful rehabilitation and becoming paddock sound, returning to full work proved too much for the injury. Because of this, I have made the difficult decision to find her the right breeding home where she can enjoy a long and happy future.
Claire is by Christos (Imp Han), an AWHA and ACE licensed stallion who was awarded Supreme Champion Warmblood Ridden Stallion at the Adelaide Show. Christos has produced many successful performance horses and enjoyed a very successful career in South Australia with Cheryl Hatswell in both showing and dressage.
Her dam is Northern Chiffon, by Northern Congress and out of the Holsteiner stallion Contact.
Video footage is available of Claire under saddle when she was sound, including work at home, training days and competition, to showcase her movement, attitude and rideability.
She is up to date with her Hendra, tetanus, strangles and Duvaxyn vaccinations, and had her teeth attended to in May 2026.
Claire has all the qualities I believe make an exceptional broodmare—not only because of her pedigree and movement, but because of the wonderful temperament she consistently passes on. I would love to see her go to a home that values her kind nature just as much as her conformation and bloodlines.
She is offered only because I want what is best for her, and finding the right home is far more important than making a quick sale.
