Well, well, well. Apples, trees etc.

Naturally, having an ADHD Coach for a mum, you can rest assured we’re collaborating on a solution that doesn’t involve me visiting the school.

This ADHD brain never has been good at paying attention to things it’s not interested in.

(These comments were from maths and modern history. English, Drama and PE were a very different vibe 😂)

The reason your planning system isn’t working may have very little to do with the system.

When you’re carrying chronic shame about how you function, your nervous system is stuck in survival mode. Dysregulated. Fight or flight. Frozen. Shut Down. And no tool, app or planner works when your brain is in crisis. Your executive functions are offline.

I spent years looking for the magic bullet. The strategy that was finally going to make me feel like I was on top of my life. What actually changed things was dropping the unrelenting standards I had for myself and learning to accept how I’m wired.

My nervous system got to exhale. And from that place, everything got easier.

I know it’s not what you want to hear. It’s not sexy. It takes time. But it’s the best ADHD hack I know.

If you have ADHD and you’re wondering why nothing seems to stick, this is where I’d start. Not with a new system. With yourself.
Regulate first. Then plan.

Today I dropped my 3D brain model in my tea. Live. On a client call.

The tea then spilled on my car keys which, as I discovered later when I went to get something from my car, meant I couldn’t use the key fob. So I did what any reasonable person would do and tested the handle.

… Which set the alarm off.

… Outside a law firm and a psychology practice.

Of course, then I couldn’t turn it off. Even after starting the car. Just sat there, engine running, alarm screaming, waving apologetically at strangers staring out the windows.

This is me. Your ADHD coach. Fully qualified. Deeply credible.

And yet - here I am. In a car park. Alarming everyone.

If you’ve been looking for an ADHD Coach who truly gets it, follow for more.

The feedback I get from my clients more than anything else is “it’s just so nice to talk to someone who gets it.”

If you’ve lived with ADHD like I have - even if it was undiagnosed for years - then I know you’ve felt misunderstood, othered and confused. The fear of being judged and found lacking (again) is almost as bad as the fear of repeating the same patterns for the rest of your life.

That’s why it matters so much to me to create a space where you can unmask, exhale and figure out who you want to be and how to get there - without performing or explaining yourself first.

I’m not a clipboard and a raised eyebrow. I’m someone who has sat exactly where you are - only now I know there’s so much more. Less overwhelm. More ease. More joy. More peace.

If you’ve been on the fence about coaching because you’re not sure anyone will really get it - I do. And I’d love to show you what’s possible when you finally have someone in your corner who genuinely understands your brain.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign - this might be it. Schedule a free discovery call via the link in my bio.

The diagnosis is half of the treatment.

When you have ADHD, it’s to fixate on improving our challenge areas. The only problem is in doing so, we’re often quick to dismiss our strengths (which is also often where our interests lie).

When we’re intentional about recognising our strengths and we lean in to them:

1: We feel better about ourselves and our contributions
2: Life gets a whole lot easier

So, what’s one strength you bring to the table? Drop it in the comments. I’ll drop one in there too.
