Have you seen the new classes on the May schedule? This sunday we have the incredible Vic Barrantes taking us through a Hatha Yoga Inversions class.
Originally from Colombia and now based in Australia, Vic combines his passion for movement with a deep understanding of breathwork, recovery, and mindful living. His focus is on helping people build strength, mobility, and balance—both physically and mentally.
With a background in personal training, yoga (500-hour certified), and energy healing practices such as Reiki and sound therapy, Vic's work as a holistic health coach blends multiple disciplines into a unique and integrated approach to wellbeing.
His mission is to create meaningful experiences that help people reconnect with their bodies, elevate their energy, and move with purpose.
I am EXCITED to see what Vic brings to the Phoenix teaching team. See you all there this sunday!

Tomorrow (saturday 11th April) at 5:30pm, I’ll be hosting a special Kirtan at the studio with my travelling vet friend, Dr Edward.
This gathering is a way to honour our beautiful Phoenix teaching team, and since a few of you expressed interest in attending when you noticed the PA set up, we’ve decided to open the invitation to our wider member community as well!
The afternoon will flow like this:
• 4:00pm – Yin with Fran (usual member rate, just sign in at the door as this one is not publicly advertised in Momence)
• 5:30pm – Kirtan and healing songs with Ed and myself
You’re warmly invited to join us for either or both sessions.
Suggested donation for Kirtan is $10-15 (includes a hot drink), but please feel free to simply come along—everyone is welcome.
BYO cushion to sit on unless you're comfortable on bench seats!
We’d love to have you there.

I finally made it to the Wednesday 6am Slow Vinyasa Flow with Aaron this morning… and wow. I finally understand why people want to do Vinyasa Yoga.
To be honest, Vinyasa has always been one of the hardest styles for me to connect with. I originally started out with an Ashtanga Mysore practice and I loved the structure and progression within that style. But any other Vinyasa style felt too too busy, too erratic and I find myself craning my neck trying to keep up with what I’m meant to be doing.
But Aaron’s slow flow approach is completely different. It truly captures the essence of Vinyasa — FLOW.
Slow, intentional transitions between poses, gentle dynamic movement, and so many of my favourite postures (chaturanga, crow, pigeon) that we don’t get to explore in Bikram.
At the end of the hour, I didn’t want to leave my mat. I could have stayed there in that flow forever.
A pretty huge turnaround for someone who’s always said they don’t like Vinyasa Yoga.
Come try it next Wednesday (6am) and experience just how gorgeous a hump day start can be. ✨
And in a few weeks, Agata will be offering a Slow Flow Vinyasa at 6am on Fridays too. Let's find a flow state together!
P.S. This photograph is of my cousin who is an an incredible yoga instructor at Ourano Yoga in Brisbane. A gorgeous studio with regular classes, events and more - if you are ever in Brisbane make sure you go!
