Juniors Club Championship yesterday! A hugh turnout on a sunny afternoon with many first time juniors attending too. After the warm up & skills session racing was ON & the older more experienced riders in the Roosters raced 5 laps with the Rabbits next completing 3 laps with the newer younger riders the Swans covering 2laps of the Heffron Park Criterium circuit. Many smiling faces on the podium specially after receiving their Zooper Dooper ice creams for prizes 🧊 big thank you to all our club sponsors Haralambis Property , SASTTI Joint Venture, The Republic Hotel,Australian Cladding Specialists, Claudio’s Seafood / Costi Seafood, Caden Carbon Bike Wheels

Thursday Junior high performance training is back for term3. Great winters afternoon training session ✅ This is for Juniors who have progressed to clipless pedals.
Today we practiced “rolling through” (also known as rolling turns or a paceline) is a group riding method where cyclists take turns leading at the front. Key components include a two-line rotation, shared workload, and smooth transitions. Also note training /racing is back for juniors this Saturday from 1pm too !

The Randwick Juniors have been placing well. Here is a brief result update! Up at Kurri Kurri, Nothwave Junior series rd3 randwick jnrs did a great job repping the club. Xavi and Harry made it a ‘randwick sand which’ in the U11 podium, Sol a 3rd in GC this round and stays in 2nd GC in the series. Darcy awesome to be mixing it with the front bunch in a speedy U15 and Constant fought all the way to the finish in the 2nd bunch. For the ‘big boys’ Charlie in the bunch sprint mix for U17 crit today too!

Some great school holiday race results from Sol and Xavi Downie competing in Tasmania just before NY.
A win for Sol in the Burnie Carnival U13 Wheel Race and a win for Xavi in the Davenport Crits U13 Handicap, with Sol also picking up another 🥈 in the handicap.
Well done boys! All that Heffron race training is really paying off 🤩
