Our swimmers delivered some outstanding results at the NSW Senior State Age Short Course Championships, held at Sydney Olympic Park from 21–23 August.

And that’s not all — 12 swimmers recorded top-10 finishes across the championships, with some fantastic racing throughout the weekend.

Today, Australia will light up blue to remember those who have lost their lives to drowning and to remind us that anyone can drown, but no one should.

Together with Royal Life Saving Australia, we are incentivising everyone to wear blue, raising awareness about the importance of water safety and the simple actions that can save lives.

Congratulations, Emmeline! 🌟

A huge achievement for 15-year-old Emmeline Giraud, who has earned selection to the 2026/27 Swimming Australia Para Flippers Squad after achieving the required qualifying standards at the Australian Swimming Trials.

Competing against some of Australia’s leading Para swimmers, Emmeline qualified for A Finals in the 50m, 100m and 400m Freestyle, while also securing another Para Flippers qualifying standard during the meet.

Training at DRLC with both DRLC Maroubra Swim Club and the Lycée Condorcet de Sydney squad, Emmeline continues to make her mark on the national stage and take important steps along Australia’s Para-swimming pathway.

An incredible achievement and a milestone on the journey towards future international competition, including the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.

The Socceroos are off and running! ⚽️

A great 2–0 win over Turkey yesterday was the perfect start to their World Cup campaign.

One message from the team that has resonated with many Australians is that diversity is our strength, something we can definitely relate to at DRLC!

Our community is made up of people from all corners of the world, bringing different cultures and backgrounds together every day. Few sports capture that spirit quite like soccer.

To get into the World Cup spirit, we’ve given our Merchandise Hub a soccer-themed refresh, celebrating the many nations that make up our DRLC community. 😍

Teen Gym members, this one’s for you 👀
 
Need an extra session before the weekend?
 
From today, you can now train in the adult gym upstairs every Friday afternoon from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, complementing the existing weekend and school holiday times already available.

We believe this additional access will help increase motivation, build confidence in the gym environment and better prepare teens for independent training in the future.
 
Just remember: all Teen Gym members must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while using the gym.

As Reconciliation Week comes to a close, we’d like to share some of the wonderful activities our Creche children have been involved in. ❤️
