Beach Touch Football Australia was disappointed to have to cancel the events in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid, it was extremely difficult and challenging decision, and it appears that 2022 is also going to present challenges but we must try for the kids.
In preparation for the 2022 year, we have prepared a Covid Safe Plan and will be enforcing the government legislated guidelines.
Due to numerous requests from Schools, Beach Touch Football Australia is pleased to announce the upcoming NSW School's Beach Touch Football Tournament on Friday 1st April 2022 at Maroubra Beach.
Also if you want to put in your diaries the term 4, 2022 date for the beach touch event is Friday 25th November 2022.

Entry is now open for the first event of 2022, please make sure you email your nominations EARLY to [email protected], due to covid we will be restricting the number of entries to a maximum per division. We do not want teams to miss out, so get your nominations in early. The closing date for entries is Friday 25th March 2022.

For those unfamiliar with the sport, Beach Touch Football (a lot like Beach Volleyball) is a modified, fun, sand version of Touch Football. Played on a smaller field with 8 players per team, Beach Touch is fast and furious. The matches are played with 4 attackers against 3 defenders, with fast subbing occurring at the 4th Touch as possession is turned over. This makes the game about all-out attack, but with unlimited subs to keep the legs fresh and the game flowing. The Schools competition will be split into the following Divisions;
· Senior Boys & Girls – Yrs 10, 11 & 12
· Junior Boys & Girls – Yrs 7, 8, 9
· Year 7 Boys & Girls Only

Are you keen to help referee next Wednesday at the Schools Beach Event.

You will need to be at Maroubra at 830am, where the rules will be explained and you will be paid $70 for a day in the sun on the beach.

It is very easy to referee, you just walk up and down the side line.
