🥋 COLOUR BELT PREP SESSION | SATURDAY 12 SEPTEMBER

Grading is coming up. This is your chance to sharpen the details before they count.

We’re running a special 2-hour Colour Belt Prep Session at AMA Sydenham, designed specifically for students preparing for the upcoming September/October grading cycle.

This is NOT the grading and it’s completely optional. It’s a focused preparation session where students can work directly with Master Hakan and Mr Mark on the areas they’ll actually be assessed on.

We’ll be working on:
🥋 Patterns & technical detail
🥋 Kicking sharpness and power
🥋 Self-defence
🥋 Sparring for Teens & Adults
🥋 Grading etiquette & expectations
🥋 Performing confidently under pressure

Students will also experience a mock grading environment, giving them the opportunity to identify and correct mistakes before grading day.

It was fantastic to see Master Hakan Manav’s recent Taekwondo Hall of Fame induction recognised as the lead sports story of the Parra News! 👏

The article celebrates Hakan’s achievement alongside his father, Grandmaster Ridvan Manav, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015 — making this a particularly special milestone for the Manav family.

AMA has operated classes in Auburn for close to 40 years and we have strong connections to the local community, so it’s wonderful to see this story featured so prominently in the Parra Times. 💚

What another great leadership training session! 👏

Our leadership team focused on developing the skills that make a strong martial arts leader, including:

-How to confidently teach an introductory lesson
-Fun and effective team-bonding drills
-Clear, positive communication skills
-Building confidence and creating a welcoming experience for every student

It was fantastic to see our leaders supporting one another, sharing ideas and learning how to bring out the best in their students. Sessions like this help us grow stronger as instructors, teammates and role models. 🤝

What a fantastic Kids Game & Movie Night we had! The kids enjoyed an evening full of laughter, exciting games, dodgeball, NERF battles, jumping on the castle, fun challenges, tasty snacks and a fun movie. It was wonderful to see everyone having so much fun, making new friends and creating memorable moments together. Thank you to all the kids, parents and leader who helped make the night such a great success!
