Took the boys out for their first full lap of Manly Dam over the weekend. It was good times! They found it challenging and a lot of fun!

Stop #2 of the NSW State Gravity Enduro Series 2023 was at GreenValleys Mountain Bike Park in mid April 2023. I decided the week before the event to enter and was feeling pretty good for it. Unfortunately the days racing did not go to plan.
I had a fall on stage 1 and 2.
The stage 2 fall seemed innocuous but it rattled me.
Stage 3 was ok but I missed some of the lines I wanted and didn't pedal as hard as I needed to in the flatter sections.
Stage 4 was a complete bust.
I missed my start times all day and because of this, by the time I made it to stage 4 the rain had rolled in and the final track was treacherous in the mud. Some sections were as slick as ice and I paid the price with a heavy fall at the start of the stage.

Real enduro racing is tough but I really like the format. Everyone gets the one go at each track and the fatigue factor is real. Bring on Stop #3....

Trying to go flat out on stage 2. I lost around 20 seconds with an earlier fall on this stage. Another lost front on a corner 😐

Missed my start times and got to stage 4 after the rain came down. The track was hectic. I took a heavy slam and hit my head early in the stage. Ended up making it down to post a time to avoid another DNF.

Sporting the marks of a fall but still trying to ‘push’ 🤨 Not sure which stage this is, I think it’s either stage 2 or 3.

First lap through Benny’s and just so impressed with the track work, rock formations and amazing bush on this side of Mt Narra. Looking forward to future laps to really link all the trail features 👌🏾
