Congratulations to all who graded last weekend, the kids grading was completed with positive energy and attention throughout.
Special mention to Edward and Conan who joined AYNSW kids class so long ago and now train regularly in the adults classes. They graded for 4th kyu and showing serious connection, concentration and confidence in their movements and techniques. Osu!

Tokyo Fusion 2026 was a huge success. A return to to the Ochiai dojo, a gathering of like minded aikido enthusiasts, training, eating and sleeping in the dojo, the full Japan aikido experience in the middle of bustling Tokyo. The next event on the calendar will be even bigger in Kyoto Japan , April 1-4, 2027.

Tokyo Fusion 2026 (March 25-29,2026) is a chance to immerse yourself in budo.
Whether you take advantage of the stay in dojo package, or book your own accomodation, the methodical and in-depth approach to training will have you covering the entire Yoshinkan Syllabus.
Additionally, any areas that are not directly covered in class you can follow up with the instructors in the relaxed Q&A sessions held at the end of each training day.
All participants are provided with their own notebooks to log and record their observations from each class, ensuring that’s what taught can be recalled and evaluated and absorbed long after Tokyo Fusion 2026’s last class.

Gozo Shioda Legacy Gasshuku -Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Day 2
The day began with a visit to the seminar by the Queen of Malaysia to open a women’s self defence class attended by over 1000 people in the morning.
Aikido Shudokan Malaysia students put on a demonstration of aikido and self defence for the Queen and seminar participants before the class began.
The class was led by seminar host Ramlan Ortega Sensei.
Aikido training started later from 2pm and carried through to 7pm.
