Brisbane Stallions came into Round 2 with unfinished business against Logan Village, the only side in the competition they hadnโt beaten. With pride, points and bragging rights on the line, the boys were ready to let their cricket do the talking.
And boy, did they deliver! ๐ฅ
๐ FIRST INNINGS: A TEAM EFFORT WITH THE BAT!
Logan Village won the toss and elected to field, giving the Stallions first use of a quality batting surface. What followed was a determined batting display, built on valuable partnerships, aggressive stroke play and contributions right down the order.
After an early setback, *Zahed and Billy Shah* steadied the innings with an important 47-run partnership for the third wicket. Zahed played the anchor role with a fighting 18, while Billy took responsibility for building the innings.
Billy looked set for a deserved half-century before falling agonisingly short on *49 off 8 boundaries*. A classy knock that gave the Stallions a solid platform to build on!
๐ฃ *HASSAN NAWAZ โ 42 OFF JUST 27 BALLS!*
Hassan brought the fireworks, taking the attack to Logan Village and combining with Hamza Bin Waris for a crucial 58-run fifth-wicket partnership. His aggressive 42 kept the pressure firmly on the opposition and pushed the scoring rate up a gear.
๐ *HAMZA BIN WARIS โ 45 OF PURE VALUE!*
Hamza continued the charge, striking six boundaries and the inningsโ only six. His composure, smart strike rotation and ability to find the boundary kept the Stallions moving towards a formidable total. He, too, fell just five runs short of a maiden Stallions fifty!
๐ช *THE FINISHING TOUCH!*
With the innings entering its final stages, *Adil Rana* returned to the side and wasted no time making an impact. His fluent 32 off 25 balls, featuring four boundaries, combined beautifully with *Manpreet Singhโs* unbeaten 21*.
The pair added a valuable 46 runs to close out the innings in style.

A total built through partnerships, aggression and contributions from across the batting order โ leaving Logan Village with a daunting target of *287 for victory*.

Defending 286, the Stallions came out hunting wickets โ and the pressure started early.

The left-arm speedster delivered another important early breakthrough, with skipper Anoosh taking a sharp catch at mid-on.
The skipper then joined the attack himself, removing Logan Villageโs No. 3 with Waqar completing the catch behind the stumps.

The third wicket came through brilliant awareness from Billy, who ran out the Logan Village opener after the batter stepped away from his crease to pick up his box. A moment of sharp thinking that swung the momentum firmly towards the Stallions!
And then came the Adnan Ahmed show.

With his trademark three-step run-up, Adnan attacked the stumps relentlessly, bowling with pace, precision and intent.
Logan Village simply had no answer.

His haul included a bowled dismissal and three catches, with Hassan taking one and Rafey claiming two โ including an outstanding running catch over his shoulder!
Adil Rana also joined the party, using his dangerous inswingers to claim an LBW, while Manpreet Singh and Tahoor chipped in with a wicket apiece.
And fittingly, *Adnan was there at the very end*, taking the final catch at long-on to seal a sensational all-round performance!
