We have been a little quiet on social media but we are still hard at work in the shed. From Coffs Harbour to Caloundra and Willawong we have been building up and improving the Q46 dirt modified. A massive thank you to Jack and the guys that helped him get a few spare parts packed and sent away.

The motor is out and the car is near back to a bare chassis. The last few bits will be removed then it's off to get sandblasted.

Sprintcar VS Dirt modified ๐
We have an ongoing debate in our shed for what's better to work on. Tonight we will remove the motor and hopefully the dirt mod will be redeemed. Unfortunately sunday afternoon the sprintcar gained a point in the pro sections and the dirt mod gained one for cons. This could have been avoided if a certain driver listened to his daughter ๐
our sunday afternoon seen to us removing the dirt modified diff and it went a little like this.
Dad I think we should strip the diff before we remove it. Nah Brooke we got this it'll be easy, you take one side I got the other and we'll slide it out your side.
Can we at least remove the dry sump and brake fittings or the spacers. Nah Brooke no need it'll be fine...... 3 attempts later, far out Brooke remove those brake fittings while I get the dry sump tank out of the way ๐
Sprintcar teams definitely have it easier when removing a diff.

A couple of hours at home on Saturday before being loaded and taken to the workshop. It's well on its way to being a bare chassis.

The offseason rebuild has started.
We will be pulling everything off the chassis, sandblasting and painting it then slowly rebuilding it with a few new parts.

2025-2026 season is done. This season was the first season in over 10 yrs that Darren has been in the seat of a dirt modified and to say he is hooked would be an understatement. The cars have changed and gotten more advance however the atmosphere is still as warm and welcoming as it was back then. We have been involved in various speedway divisions and none are quite like dirt mods, the atmosphere both on track and off pulls you in even if you're not racing. Other competitors offering advice and help just so more cars are on track and the division gets the recognition it deserves.
We will be back bigger and better. Next season will see the Q46 dirt modified back on track along with the ls sprintcar. Our main focus is still the dirt mod with the sprintcar being an infill between dirt mod races. The collins motorsport dirt modified will be travelling south for more race meetings.
Over the off season (now until August) we will be hard at work pulling the Q46 down, painting the chassis and slowly putting it back together with a few upgrades.
We would like to thank everyone that has helped and supported us this season.
