Two Armbands. Two Messages.

WD2

The Women’s Ressies faced a strong Penrith team out at Greygums this week. While the WD2 showed up with their usual energy, spirit and determination, the Penrith side proved too accurate. Nevertheless a great showing of strength and skill across the ground. A massive thank you to those who came out to support, particularly Scott who umpired before his own match and a speedy recovery to Charlotte! ❤️🤍🖤

WD1

Women’s Div 1 travelled across the bridge to take on a strong North Shore outfit in the final game of the day.
North Shore burst out of the blocks early, showcasing their speed and skill with a fast-moving brand of football. The Saints matched their intensity and worked tirelessly around the ground, but were just unable to capitalise on key opportunities.
The Saints fought back with a couple of well-earned goals and never stopped competing. The defensive unit stood tall under immense pressure, with the backline producing one of its busiest and bravest performances of the season.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported and filled in throughout the day. We regroup, reset, and go again. ❤️🤍🖤

MD2

After a great win last week we tried to take that momentum into this week against Penrith. We had a few outs but we tried to focus again on our pressure however we started very poorly allowing them to kick the first few goals in the first quarter which led to a 20 odd point deficit going into the second. After a red card and a couple injuries we were left with one on the bench but found a way to turn the pressure up and try and use the football through the middle of the ground. We got ourselves back into the game however couldn’t reduce the margin enough and ended up going down.

🙋🏼‍♀️ NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK 🙋🏻

As a community footy club, we wouldn’t be where we are without our volunteers. Those who put up their hands and do duties without fanfare, whether it’s behind the scenes or with a bib - we couldn’t do it without you.

National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering.

This year’s theme is Your Year to Volunteer.

Your Year to Volunteer honours the contributions of volunteers and invites people across Australia to make 2026 a year of meaningful involvement, in ways that work for them.

This year is a moment to thank those who already give their time and to invite others to discover how volunteering can create connection, purpose, and lasting positive change.

ROUND 7🔴⚪️⚫️

MD4

Mens Div 4 took on North shore Bombers this week. Going into the game the lads knew they had a tough battle on their hands and a tough battle it was. North shore always seemed to have a slight edge over the lads but they never gave up and this paid off in the final quarter with the saints putting in a masterclass to come back and win by 4 for a well deserved win.

WD1

Women’s Div 1 faced Sydney Uni in the final game of the day, with the rain pouring down before the first siren and wet weather footy returning in full force. The contest was fierce early, with both sides battling hard across the ground. Sydney Uni struck first, but Edel Nyland responded quickly with a brilliant long-range goal for the Saints. After halftime, the Saints lifted to another level. Dominant ruck work, relentless midfield pressure and classy forward entries created plenty of opportunities, while strong two-way running and second efforts kept the momentum rolling. The Saints finished with a deserved 22-point win. Wishing Ann Shannon a speedy recovery, and thank you to everyone who stayed in the rain to support ❤️🤍🖤

MD2

Seniors went in after a disappointing week last week but a strong Thursday training session for our match against North Shore. Our focus this week was 4 quarters of pressure and we started very well. Dropped off slightly in the second quarter and let them back into the contest. Rain then started to come down so we had to alter our game plan slightly but we increased the pressure once again. Halfway through the last quarter we took back the lead and held on for the last 10 minutes to then win by 9 points in a huge win for our season.

WD2

The Women’s Ressies took on the Camden Cats for the second time this week.
The ladies played hard throughout the game-improving each quarter. Despite the score line, no one dropped their heads and were rewarded in the final quarter when slotted home a much deserved goal. Great effort, performance and heart from WD2 as always! Thanks to Liana and Cherie for stepping in and Taylor on her debut for the Saints! ❤️🤍🖤
