It’s with great sadness that we share the passing of much loved Dolphins member Walter Dietrich.

Walter’s funeral will be held next Friday, 7th November — 10am South Chapel, Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park.

Our thoughts are with Walter’s family, friends, and all who knew him in the Dolphins community. 💙

Hey Dolphins family! This Sunday from 12pm–5:30pm, our friends at South Maroubra Surf Club are hosting Oktoberfest and we’d love to see plenty of Dolphins there supporting the club! 🇩🇪

Expect great vibes, live music, German beers 🍺, food and fun for everyone. Bring your family and friends for an afternoon by the beach celebrating local community spirit.

🐬 Vale Jimmy ‘The Moth’ Ryan 🕊️

We’re saddened to share the passing of long-time Dolphin and local legend Jimmy Ryan, aged 92. A true character, Jimmy was remembered as a lovely man, a proud larrikin, and the fearless leader of the mighty Moths relay team for many years.

He leaves behind a wake of laughs, stories, and memories as deep as the ocean.

Funeral details:

📍 Holy Family Catholic Church, Maroubra Rd & Garden St
