On Behalf of the Mayfield Mahi’s Cc, I would like to take this time to apologise and come clean. Covid-19 wasn’t started in China with a cobba eating a bat. It in fact started on the 31st of December 2019 at our inaugural game. It is believed after swabbing the communal team box that it had traces of the disease on it after being passed around for a number of drinks and gentleman wearing it. After some clever negotiations with the Chinese President Xi Jinping, who sometimes fills in for our 20/20 team, he said we have nothing to worry about it and his country will cop it on the chin (rough English translation). Kudos to you Xi.

So ol Tyler decided to jump the gun and play the channel 9 theme song before the 60 overs was complete and disappoint the team and onlookers. However since he has decided to write an apology. As follows

To all of my teammates, to fans of cricket all over the world and to all Mahis who are disappointed and angry: I'm sorry, What happened in Cape Town has already been laid out by Mayfield Mahis CA. Tonight I want to make it clear as opening batsmen of the Mayfield Mahis cricket team, I take full responsibility. I made a serious error of judgement and I now understand the consequences.

It was a failure of leadership, on my leadership. I'll do everything I can to make up for my mistake and the damage it's caused.

If any good can come from this, if it can be a lesson to others, then I hope I can be a force for change.

I know I will regret this for the rest of my life. I'm absolutely gutted. I hope in time I can earn back respect and forgiveness.

To see the way my old man's been and my mum, it hurts. I want to say I'm sorry and the pain I've brought to Mayfield Mahis and the fans and the public, it's devastating and I'm truly sorry.
