OFFICIAL STATEMENT | PERTH UNITED FUTSAL CLUB
Perth United Futsal Club wishes to address the incident that occurred last night during our Supa Liga Men’s Futsal match, which resulted in the referees suspending the game following an altercation involving players from both teams.
We strongly condemn any form of violence, aggression, and unsportsmanlike conduct on the futsal court. Such behaviour is unacceptable and goes against the fundamental values of respect, discipline, integrity, and fair play that our sport must uphold.
No match, result, or rivalry is ever more important than the safety and respect of everyone involved in the game. Competition should bring out the best in players, not lead to incidents that damage the reputation of our sport.
Perth United Futsal Club takes this matter seriously. We expect all players, officials, and everyone involved in the competition to conduct themselves responsibly and respect the rules of the game. We also support appropriate action being taken in accordance with the competition’s regulations.
We will not compromise on the principles of discipline, accountability, and respect that our club stands for. We remain committed to representing Perth United Futsal Club with pride, professionalism, and integrity, both on and off the court.
We urge everyone to allow the appropriate processes to take place and to refrain from speculation or unnecessary provocation while the matter is addressed by the Supa Liga management.
