A big moment for our U11 Girls today celebrating their first win! Well done girls!

Big congratulations to our girl Hannah Gough on being selected for the World Cup Qualifiers on the Gold Coast next month!

So great to see our girl Isabel doing BIG things in the U20 World Championships over the weekend.

Isabel Jackson was absolute WARRIOR for Australia through the midfield powering the Australians in their Bronze Medal tilt!

As the Bears look to climb the ladder in South Australia, Burnside will need to rely on their young talent coming through and Olivia Scamoni is definitely one to watch in 2023.

Scamoni started her career at Wilderness and moved to Burnside a few years ago where she has carved out a reputation as a fantastic team player and leader.

Scamoni has long been dominant at junior levels where she capped the 2022 U18 season with 35 goals across 12 games for the Bears, earning MVP honours. Scamoni was also rewarded with her State League debut where she quickly made herself a regular for Burnside.

Scamoni is an incredible athlete who has spent the offseason playing for the Fyfe Adelaide/Hobart Jets in the Australian Water Polo League, so it is fair to say that Scamoni is going to come into the 2023 season ready to go. Playing Water Polo at such an elite level, put Scamoni in a good position to transition to the rigours of State League lacrosse and makes her not only dangerous at the offensive end, but a talent defender as well. Expect to see Scamoni continue her rapid ascent in 2023 and become a breakout star for Burnside.
