⚡ Slowly but surely... starting to hook it all together.

Today's session was dedicated to tacking and getting comfortable with the new tack sticks. Every clean tack feels like a small win, and every capsize is just another lesson. 💪🌊

Here's what today's session looked like. ⛵

Finally got to stretch the legs in a bit more breeze today. 🌬️

The focus was on reaching... and the mission was simple: stay dry.

Mission failed. Spectacularly. 😅 Got properly teabagged a couple of times, but had an absolute blast zipping around Port Phillip Bay in a puffy, shifty nor'easter. Days like these are what it's all about. ⛵

Probably not one of my smarter life decisions... 🤒⛵

With a fever and a chest infection, I probably should've stayed on the couch. Instead, I took advantage of the first sailable weather window we've had in the last couple of weeks and headed out for a sail.

I finally got to test my new tacking sticks. They're definitely heading in the right direction, but I need to make a couple of tweaks. The rings ended up a little smaller than expected, making it tricky to hook on cleanly. Nothing a bit more tinkering and plenty of practice won't fix.

I even decided to jump into the Wednesday afternoon pursuit race. I worked my way to the front of the fleet pretty quickly... only to realise I had absolutely no idea where the course went. 😅 After a quick U-turn, I pointed the bow back toward home and traded the sea breeze for a hot shower.

I'm definitely paying for it now, but some days on the water are worth every cough. 🌊

Today I got really high... UP! 😂

Unfortunately couldn't get the triple-headed setup we were chasing, but the double-headed combo still delivered. 😎 J2 + genoa staysail + a screaming reach to Mornington. Hard to complain! 🌊💨⛵
