YARRA END COLLECTIVE
OFFICIAL STATEMENT.
This afternoon, we have been left absolutely speechless by a decision handed down by the APL.
Over the last several months, our leadership group have been planning, painting and organising a tifo for the derby this Saturday, one of proportions our home end hasn't seen in the last decade. This was going to be an incredible feat considering our growing group which hasn't even been around for a full year. And has drained nearly all our limited funds raised from last year's grand final watch party.
This display had recieved full endorsement, support and approval from all parties (Melbourne City, Victoria Police, AAMI Park, MSS Security) and was vetoed by the APL just this afternoon.
Their reasoning... They deem the phrase "We Are Melbourne" to be potentially offensive and inflammatory towards Victory fans and therefore poses a security risk.
You read that correctly. The phrase "WE ARE MELBOURNE" is offensive and will cause crowd issues.
We are in utter disbelief, speechless and heartbroken.
The fact that a group of co***ne sniffing corporates in high rise Sydney offices, who haven't been to football games unless it's catered hospitality suites in Sydney can make a decision like this with 4 days notice is beyond deplorable.
This decision handed down this afternoon goes against the integrity of football in Australia and a slap in the face to all non-Sydney teams, when less than a month ago, The Cove were able to unveil larger display, with far more risk of fires ect due to it being a pullover tifo.
As a new group trying our level best to grow and build our home end back to the fortress it once was, we cannot express enough how disgusted we are in the APL and their actions go against everything we, and football fans stand for.
We are considering any and all action going forward. We will keep everyone updated through the week.
F**K THE APL.
PACK THE YARRA END.

Christmas Derby DOUBLE HEADER
EVERYONE TO THE YARRA END 🔴⚪️🔵
Never before has the Christmas derby also been the first of the season. Our hatred for the scum will forever remain. A derby double header makes it even sweeter, taking 6 points from them on the one day is the stuff of dreams.
There’s less than 20 tickets left across the active bays. If you can’t buy in, buy elsewhere and move in.
Our hate for the vuck transcends football, it's bigger than just a game, it goes beyond the pitch and the stands. It's a societal rivalry, it runs through our veins. How we as fans carry ourselves. How our passion is unconditional, we don't give up on our team when times get hard. It's the standards we hold our players to and the standards our players hold us to. It's the very fabric of our club and culture. We never stoop to the level of vuck.
On match day, our support will reflect that. Full dedication and energy is required to support both the guys and girls!
Matchday Details... ‼️
There will be NO MARCH.
Everyone is expected to be at the Women's derby, kicking off at 5pm. Our Presence is required for 180 minutes of football, not just 90.

We have some fu***ng crazy stuff planned for the game, and we need everyone in their seats nice and early 👀

DO OR DIE. CITY VS ZHEJIANG
The equation is simple. Win and we qualify for the RO16. Any other result leaves us at the mercy of other teams results.
PRINCESS PARK, CARLTON

MEMBERS CAN REDEEM FREE TICKET
This is one of the biggest and most important games our club will play in. We have the opportunity to advance to the kockouts and make every other club in Australia aware that we are still the absolute pinnacle of football and the poster boy of Australia on the continental stage.
Your maximum effort and support in the stands is what is going to spur our boys on, singing for 90 mins is not encouraged, but the requirement. We are 90 mins away from history.
We will be located behind the goals in the 'Legends Stand' of the stadium, while the location is not ideal and we are keen for our return to AAMI park, we continue our march towards the round of 16, regardless of what gets thrown our way.
Hey City Fans!
Brilliant result last night, good to get the wheels turning. Now it's the girls turn to get all 3 points out in the West, tickets are available via the link below. See you all there 🔴⚪️🔵

WESTERN UNITED AWAY
SUNDAY 5TH NOVEMBER
CITY VISTA SPORTS FIELD
4PM KICK OFF.
After a perfect 2 games to start the season, picking up six points, we travel across the bridge to face the western scum, with a chance to avenge our men's teams loss last week.
Now if it wasn't clear already, we're gonna be shouting this from the rooftops, this season, our women's team is just as high of a priority as our men's. Previous years have seen our record breaking girls put to the back burner, or even ignored entirely, not this time round, not the Yarra End Collective, we do things differently here. This year, our women's support is not just reserved for when the men are playing away or an international break, not treated as a second priority, no more sitting in the pub while the women open the show for double headers. This year, we are ALL GUNS BLAZING in our active support for our women's team, no excuses.
And what better way to begin our new era of complete and total support for our club than snatching 3 points in the heart of the West. We want absolutely everybody to make your way down to City Vista Pitch in Caroline Springs, bring your mates, jump in the car and come spend your Sunday afternoon bringing the heat and atmosphere to get our girls over the line against these muppets from over the bridge.
Your attendance is not encouraged but expected next Sunday afternoon. See you all there.
The tap in merchant Jamie Maclaren has a message for the Yarra End Collective ahead of our away day this weekend.

Adelaide Away
While last week was a hard pill to swallow, it will not deter our support for the boys. This week sees us travel to Thailand for match day 3 of our Asian champions league campaign before making the trip to Hindmarsh.
A highly anticipated away day for many fans suddenly changed, it won’t be forgotten. For those making the journey and staying the extra day, pre game will be at The Gov in the beer garden from 3pm.
We will leave at 5:45pm and make our way to Coopers. It’s a fixture that hasn’t gone our way recently but times are changing.
For those who haven’t yet purchased tickets or are thinking of making the trip, use the code AWAYBAYSUPPORT2324 to access the away bay section.
Get to the Gov, have a drink and introduce yourself.
Let’s finish the week with 6 points.
F**k em all.

Canberra/Western
Double header
Saturday 21st
AAMI Park 📍
City vs Canberra @ 2.45pm
City vs Western @ 5.30pm
This season we expect to go again bigger and better, building and bringing the atmosphere for both our Men's and Women's teams.
Your attendance at both the men's and women's games is not encouraged but expected, our girls deserve the best support we have to offer, and we will be there for the full 90, to continue their perfect start to the season
The girls got us off to a perfect start at a difficult away fixture last weekend, let's bring the atmosphere and keep them on a perfect start to the year.
Our first Home game of the season is a double header for our men and women. It is imperative that we show up in numbers to kick off our season.
There will be no march, drinks @ Precinct from 12pm.
With a paddock as their ‘home’, we will dominate on and off the field once again.
Fire up Melbourne.
Western, see you Saturday

Yarra End Collective. Official statement.
Just under 12 months since the league and state of football was at an all time high, we had experienced the most successful men's world cup campaign ever, it felt like the A-League was finally going back to the glory days, us city fans landed back home from Sydney away, checked our phones, and from that moment on. Everything changed.
Yarra End Collective, along with the former City Terrace, aided by *almost* every group in the country worked in unison, held meetings with the tool who's currently scurrying off to a job in the middle east, a place where hiding corruption is far easier, Danny Townsend, we put our differences aside for one common purpose, and we've achieved our goal. As we always do.
Australian football fans always win, we have fought for decades to get our game recognised, loved, out of the shadows, and now fought the corruption within.
Today once again proved that you CANNOT take on the fans and win. Fans can do without football but football CANNOT do without it's fans.
Our decision to boycott the finals series, and sticking firm through the grand final, while other groups flaked away, while it was a difficult decision to make as we were a new group, it proved effective, as a result we sat down with APL officials including Town$end, and set up the national Fan Representative Groups, with the help of the Cove, which have had their first meetings in the last few weeks.
Our message to all Australian fans of *nearly* every club is that we are incredibly proud of everyone, us as a community have once again shown our resilience and have made the people who fought for this game before anyone else did proud... Johnny Warren and Les Murray.
In the words of the late Johnny Warren.
I told you so.
