Eddie Cox is an American/Australian sports events promoter who has been bringing top sports personalities from around the world to Australia. Born and raised from Westside of Chicago and considered a playground legend. Eddie developed a passion for basketball at a young age and later played at Farragut high school in Chicago – the same school Kevin Garnett was drafted to the NBA out of. Sporting A

chievements:

– Eddie attended ITASCA community college in Minnesota and was a second team All-American.

– From Junior college Eddie attended University of North Dakota for 2 years and had a great college career.

– Post College Eddie played professionally in New Zealand, Phillipines, Hong King, Singapore, Taiwan and for 3 teams in Australia.

– Eddie Cox came to Melb in 1993 and played for the Werribee Devils for 4 years where he and the team won the Championship 3 out of 4 years – being the League MVP 4 years in a row. He was named Werribee’s all time best player.

– After 4 years Eddie went to play for the Broadmeadows Broncos and was team MVP twice. Eddie’s company, Cox Sports Entertainment, specialises in organizing meet and greets, clinics, and other events featuring sports stars from various disciplines. He has worked with some of the biggest names in sports, including Tim Hardaway and Eric Gordon to name a few. Eddie’s expertise in event planning and management, coupled with his extensive network of contacts in the sports world, has enabled him to create unique and memorable experiences for sports fans across Australia. He has been instrumental in bringing international sports talent to Australia, and intendeds to bring many more! In addition to his work in sports events, Eddie is also a keen advocate for youth sports development in Australia. He has been involved in several community initiatives aimed at promoting grassroots basketball, including coaching clinics and sports camps for young athletes. Eddie’s passion for sports and his commitment to excellence in event planning have earned him a reputation as one of the top sports event promoters in Australia. His vision and leadership have been instrumental in making Australia a top destination for sports talent from around the world.
