Very sad news to hear the passing of legendendary Body Builder Shawn 'Flexatron' Rhoden 😢

I was fortunate enough to have met Shawn briefly at the Arnold Classic in 2014.

You will be missed by the Body Building world and many more.

Rest in peace, Shawn Rhoden. ❤️

Well here's a nice little Facebook reminder from this day 5 years ago in 2016 🗓️

My has been many shapes and sizes over my years of competing and training and to achieve and maintain a low level of body fat requires , and self

This can be said for any specific goal you want achieve.
Be it training for a marathon 🏃‍♀️, competing in a competition 💪 or maintaining a desired for every day life.

If you have a goal in mind, set a date, make a plan and execute it 👊

Women♀️and Men ♂️Do you ? 🏋️

If you are an experienced lifter you will know that the deadlift is a powerful exercise if executed correctly so for those that are new to the gym or to deadlifting, here's a few cues to help master your technique:

🔸Choose your most comfortable stance. From lifter to lifter that's going to vary depending on hip structure.
🔸The most efficient position for arms is straight down but again depending on proportions this may change from person to person. Taking this into account, place arms on the outside of your legs
🔸Push your knees gently outwards against the inside of locked elbow's
🔸 Activate your lats by pulling your armpits towards your pelvis
🔸Bum down to sit into position to activate leg drive
🔸Reach your head to the ceiling to take the slack out of the bar and to create an elongated spine
🔸And finally push the floor away

3 X 110kgs x 4 sets. A new PB for me.

The goal is to match my squat to my dead and at the moment I'm stuck at 82.5kgs for reps but none the less there are still a few months left in the year and I still have time to see out 2021 with a 100kgs squat 💪
