CHILDRENS CLASS TIMES:
Monday and Wednesday
4.00 pm - 4.30 pm Beginners
4.30 pm - 5.10 pm 5,6 and 7 year old's
5.10 pm - 5.50 pm 8,9 and 10 year old's
5.50 pm - 6.30 pm 11 & older

ADULT CLASS TIMES:
Monday and Wednesday
6.30 pm - 8.00 pm Beginners & all grades
Friday
6.00 am - 7.15 am All grades
Saturday
7.30 am - 9.00 am All grades

We try to inspire our students through honest training in basic

and advanced techniques and encourage interaction by means of courses, gasshukus, seminars, gradings and competitions for adults and children. Correct karate training develops and strengthens one both physically and mentally. Learning the art of karate has many advantages for children. Karate improves fitness, strength, flexibility and general body conditioning. It can also help children with learning disabilities to focus and is a positive addition to a balanced education. The majority of adult classes are taught by Keith Geyer. If Keith is unable to teach one of his experienced instructors teach the class. All childrens classes are taken by Keith and his daughter Jess a former junior world champion.

I am very happy to announce that my son Dean and his wife Jill became parents for the first time. A beautiful, healthy little boy, Sage was born on the 4th July.
Dean and Jill met on the set of the movie, Never Back Down 2.
The movie featured, Michael Jai White, Dustin Poirier and Scottie Epstein. Lyota Machida had a small part in the movie.

Great memory:
This photo was taken when Chuck Norris visited Stan Schmidt Sensei at his Melrose dojo in Johannesburg, South Africa. That night a few of us accompanied them to dinner. I remember how interesting it was listening to Chuck’s stories about Bruce Lee.
In 1979 he allowed us to use his dojo in Virginia Beach when the Springbok team was preparing to compete against the USA.

Our JKA-SKC Seminar this weekend was an amazing experience, with special guests from JKA HQ - Ogura Shihan, Okuma Shihan, and Kurihara Sensei.

It was a weekend full of valuable knowledge, sharp technical detail, and great energy across every session. A very special highlight was Kurihara Sensei’s kata demonstrations of Gojushiho Sho, Gankaku and Unsu - powerful, precise, and seriously impressive!
