✨ Happy International Women’s Day ✨
Today I want to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible women who are part of our driver network across Australia.
Many people see the artists on stage, but behind the scenes there are amazing women quietly helping make the music industry move — quite literally. From airport runs and hotel transfers to late-night venue pickups and long highway drives between cities, these women show up with professionalism, resilience, humour and calm energy in an industry that often runs on chaos and very little sleep.
What I love most is that many of them probably don’t realise just how much impact they are having. They are part of the engine that keeps tours running smoothly, making sure artists, crew and production teams get where they need to be safely and on time.
To the women who are part of our team across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and beyond — thank you. Your reliability, strength and kindness do not go unnoticed, and the touring industry is better because of you.
Here’s to more women behind the wheel, more opportunities in live music, and continuing to support each other along the way.

After a year off working live shows, Ground Control is back! We’ve just finished supplying the Ground Transport for Midnight Oil in Qld and Vic. What a great a great act and show to make our comeback with! Looking forward to many more shows to come.

Love the ingenuity of the Download audience waiting in the pouring rain to get in. Ground Control provided the ground transport for the artists as well as staff in the VIP, decor, cloakroom and guest services.
