🎉 Congratulations to all recipients of the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours!

We are delighted to see so many outstanding Australians recognised for their service across education, science, community and beyond.

In particular, we celebrate Professor Terence Tao AC, recognised for his extraordinary contributions to mathematical sciences and academia — a reminder of the global impact of mathematics and the people who advance it.

We are also especially proud to acknowledge Emeritus Professor Kaye Stacey (VIC) — a valued MAV member, presenter and friend — recognised for significant service to tertiary and secondary education, and to mathematics.

Kaye’s longstanding contribution to mathematics education in Victoria has inspired generations of teachers and students, and we are thrilled to see her work honoured.

Joining the list is is Rodney RWatson, another long standing MAV Member and valued VCE presenter for his service to secondary education! Congratulations Rod - well deserved!
