Lacrosse season and the VICS are back!
Of course the one training so far that I have not brought my "real" camera, the sky cleared and gave me the perfect light.

Thanks goes to my little phone camera for doing the best it could...

Just about one month and the teams head to Perth for Nationals.

Also, a new Instagram name since no one needs to tag someone's mum in the photos they share.

Heading to Adelaide in the morning for the 2025 Lacrosse Australia U18 National Championship.

I have five weeks or so left to figure out how to photograph lacrosse with my new lens before the U18 National Tournament.
When they practice, I practice.

At least with cricket, the action takes place in certain spots. Much easier to predict and lock focus.

Lacrosse is back!
Kicking off the field preseason this morning with the Lacrosse Victoria u18 teams' first training ahead of Nationals.

So cool to be able to attend the senior presentation night at the MCG. It was a wonderful season with a fantastic celebration dinner and I'm already looking forward to next year.
Ending the evening with the empty stadium to ourselves is an incredible feeling.

Watching the path laid on the ground for the Melbourne Marathon was a bittersweet reminder that we didn't register to run in the festival this year, but we will for 2025.

File under things I never thought I'd say: There's a 6' X 6' lacrosse goal in our backyard now.

Today wrapped up the 2024 field lacrosse season in Australia with the last of the finals.
Congratulations to on their State League Grand Final win in golden goal overtime. It is so much fun watching a nail biter when you don’t have a kid on either team!

I am looking forward to a few slower weekends before Box season, sprint sessions and U18 trials reclaim my “me time” again.

Nearly time for some cricket matches!

Just a few photos from the Men’s Championship Reserves grand final win on Saturday.
It was a really fun season and I’m going to miss it.
Not too much time until Box Lacrosse starts and I have to pretend I know what’s going on while I watch Kieran play that.

Between the different rules for men’s field and women’s, now box and sixes… So many different versions to learn! And so many games to drive to. Kieran will have his learner’s hours completed well before he turns 18 in two years.

The reserves played great all season, so an 18-7 win for the MCC Championship League Reserve Men was the perfect way to end up.

The future is bright at MCC Lacrosse!
