⭐️Riders Spotlight⭐️

Van Bremner

Van started at Frankston bmx club in March 2022 at the age of 4. He loved racing against his competitors and along side his friends. From then his addiction for BMX only grew. He is a very competitive rider and gives it a hundred percent every time. He loves Wednesday training at the club, and especially riding with his mates at gates, practicing his jumps and manuals. Van is looking forward to riding with the best in Brisbane, and feels pretty chuffed to even qualify. Can't wait to see how he goes 🦈🔥

⭐️Riders Spotlight ⭐️

Mason Park

Mason is a long-standing member of the Frankston Sharks BMX club having now celebrated his 11-year consecutive membership. After a disappointing day on his 20" bike Mason came out on Cruiser day with a point to prove. His lead up to National Champs had been executed with dedication, precision and focus and his desire to qualify for Worlds was at an all time high. He knew he had his work cut out for him with a blistering field of 62 riders all vying for that coveted A final. Mason was locked in from the moment he arrived at the track knowing all his hard work could pay off if he was able to remain focused and following his pre race prep. His motos were solid with a 2nd, 3rd and 3rd progressing him to the quarters and then the semi's- both in 3rd. Mason followed his race day prep to a tee and used his bike craft to work his way through the pack claiming a 5th in the final. An incredible comeback. 🙌

Huge weekend for Frankston Sharks rider Harla Sinclair at Mighty 11s in Taree, NSW🇦🇺🦈

Representing Team Australia, Harla captained the girls team to victory, with Australia taking home the Girls Trophy after an incredible weekend of racing.

Harla was outstanding across both days, winning all five Girls Test Team races, being awarded the Brett Scruse Trophy for the Australian rider who scored the most Test Team points, and also taking home the trophy for the highest placed girl in the Memorial event.

She finished 7th overall in the mixed boys and girls Memorial class and was the only girl to make the final.

An amazing achievement and a proud moment for Harla, her family, Frankston Sharks BMX Club and Team Australia.

Congratulations Harla — what a weekend! 🦈🇦🇺🏆

Lani Oldfield

When she puts her mind to something there is very little that can stand in her way. In the lead up to nationals Lani worked tirelessly on and off the bike to fine tune her skills in order to execute perfection on the track. Lani was flying in her motos taking a 2nd, 2nd and 1st. Her quarter final was super impressive and she came away with a 2nd progressing her through to the semi final. It's in this race, at this moment, she knew it was now or never to make her A plate dream come true. Lani had a cracking race, coming 2nd with a PB hill time and a PB lap time. This could very well have come down to Lani's self talk at the gate when the started yells SET she whispers to herself "Rip It" and rip it she did finishing her Nationals with an 8th.
