πŸ’š Gut Health 101 πŸ’š

Your gut is home to trillions of bacteria, both good and bad, collectively known as the gut microbiota. 🦠 Maintaining a balanced and diverse gut microbiome is vital for digestion, immunity, mental health, and more! Studies show that a healthy gut can boost your mood, enhance nutrient absorption, and even help manage weight. 🌈

🧠 Gut-Brain Connection 🧠

Your gut and brain are in constant communication through the gut-brain axis. πŸ“ž This connection influences mood, stress levels, and cognitive function. A happy gut equals a happier, more focused YOU! 😊

🍏 Nurturing Your Gut 🍏

Want to know how to support your gut health? Start with a wholesome diet filled with fibre-rich fruits and veggies, probiotic-rich foods like yogurt, and prebiotic goodies like mushrooms, garlic and onions! πŸ₯— Exercise regularly, manage stress through meditation or yoga, and get some good sleep in for a well-rested gut. πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜΄

🌟 The Gut-Health Lifestyle 🌟

Our bodies are incredibly wise and are truly always giving us feedback, if we are aware and willing to hear and feel it! Like everything, it can take time to heal your gut and find what works for you, but it’s so worth exploring and navigating through it all as you will not only experience improved digestion and immune function, but you'll also radiate positivity and feel more energised throughout the day! And that is worth A LOT! ✨

πŸ’ͺ I know the importance and benefits of physical movement

πŸ™ I know the importance and benefits of finding gratitude in the smallest things

🌀 I know the importance and benefits of keeping a positive disposition and always seeking out the learning opportunities and silver lining from situations

Most of us know these things... but we are human

This lockdown challenged me a lot as I know it did many others... physically, mentally & emotionally.

The energy around it all has been heavy and I believe a lot of us have felt that collectively.

It’s such a challenge to do the things we intrinsically know are going to actually serve us despite not wanting or feeling like doing them.

Sometimes it’s about just sitting in that space for some time, without judgement, and just acknowledge and treat yourself with self care and compassion that you need... and then sometimes it’s about making that choice to move and take action, because to create a change, something has to change

I am so grateful for what I do because I get constantly reminded about how good it feels to move, how good the energy can be from being amongst other wonderful people, and how good it feels when I practice the self care that is right for me - even when I think I don’t want to do any of it.

Small daily consistent actions not only help build momentum but also creates so many wonderful positive reference points to draw on and keep moving you forward, particularly on the days it feels like it’s the last thing you want to do.

Moving your body is undeniably one of the quickest and most effective ways to shift your mind...but it requires your mind to make that choice to move your body ✨

Find something you like/love and keep doing it. You’re not always going to like the before, or even sometimes the during, but most definitely you’ll always LOVE the after πŸ™Œ

Thank you to my who continue to support, inspire and motivate me to share all that I love in this space! πŸ™πŸ’ͺ✨
