A real blast from the past, and what a great pick up this was!! An untouched Gold Edition Top Flite F6F Hellcat, complete with a set of sealed Robart retracts to match. Beautiful kit.

Some serious action coming from the Cairns Model Aero Club - CMAC in far north Queensland over the weekend, with the successful maiden flight of Simon Coombs stunning, 1/7th scale scratch built F-14 Tomcat. This beast of a model was built over a period of some 18 months, and is powered by twin Swiwin 190B turbine.

Congratulations, a great outcome Simon, and flown extremely well.

Thanks for the glorious photos from Catherine Coombs.

A few samples from the fantastic selection of turbine model action at Bairnsdale over the weekend. A great venue to fly at, and a great bunch of pilots to mix with!
