Our thoughts are with Karin Heeley and the 'Whitenoise' Hydroplane team today after the passing overnight of two-time E.C. Griffith Cup Champion team-owner Grant Heeley. Grant was an exceptional bloke that loved motorsport, winning the 2024 Griffith Cup one of his career highlights, doing it again in 2025 outside of his wildest dreams. Boat racing will be poorer with his passing, but the sport will come together to support Karin and his legacy in the months and years to come. RIP GH 🏆🏆🏁

There might be an epic battle brewing for this year's E.C. Griffith Cup at the Yarrawonga Powerboat Spectacular with the Kiwis returning to try and take the coveted trophy back across the Tasman, but there will be just as much focus on the multiple Cup winning Russell Jones-piloted 'Aussie Connection' as it storms its way around Lake Mulwala looking for another win..
