IT'S OFFICIAL! The wait is OVER! 🙌
For the first time in YEARS, the Boccia Victoria State Titles are RETURNING in 2026!
This is the moment we've all been waiting for. Australia, it's time to descend on Melbourne for the ultimate state competition!

I do have a small announcement to make! 😊

A couple of weeks ago I was selected for the Australian team to play boccia at the Challenger event in Canberra in a few weeks!

It’s been an incredible ride this year, playing in my first event, playing my first National Titles for Victoria and now making the Australian team!

I still think of the little girl who used to take oranges out to the Phillip Island Netball Team at half time, to the pre-teen who studied the netball rule book hoping she could umpire (only to find out she would just get in the way). Then to the teenager who enrolled in a commerce degree in the hope she would be selected in the second year to do the sports management major. I was selected, but it really only led to acting, which is a whole other story!

I never thought I would get to play sport, let alone play it for Australia. I thought the only way to be involved with sport was through the business side of things. There’s still lots of work to do and many hours of training to be done, but my first international event (albeit in Australia) is just around the corner.

Big things to come from myself and Lex Avilla, no matter how this event goes for us!

To my fellow Sirens, can't wait for you all to join me on this team!!

We really did have the best time at the Melbourne Boccia Cup last week! I'm very proud of everyone on the team. Lexi, Ruby and Kate were all at their first tournament and all came away with a medal! We have all come such a long way in the last few months!

Would love to see more women and girls join the team!

So proud of our Melbourne Sirens women's squad for their fantastic results at the Change Our Game Melbourne Boccia Cup last weekend:

• Kate Brennan - Silver (Throwers)
• Belinda Aitken - Gold (BC3)
• Lexi Trentin - Silver (BC3)
• Ruby Gough - Bronze (BC3)

Great to see our women's program producing such strong results. If you're a woman or girl interested in giving boccia a go, we train:

• Thursdays 2-3:30pm @ Narrandjeri Stadium
• Saturdays 12-1:30pm @ Royal Talbot

No experience needed and sessions are currently free. Just rock up or send us a message if you'd like more info.

What an incredible two days at the Change Our Game Melbourne Boccia Cup! 🎯🥇

The competition was fierce, with some truly fantastic BC3 matches—and that throwers final? Unbelievably tactical, nerve-wracking, and absolutely entertaining! 🤯🔥

Boccia in Victoria is growing massively, and everyone in this photo (and beyond) should be SO proud of their efforts. 👏

A MASSIVE shoutout to our amazing volunteers—without you, this event simply doesn’t happen. Thank you for your hard work and dedication! 🙌
