A fantastic year yet again by Chelsea Football Club- Australia

Chelsea FC’s senior women’s team continued their remarkable rise in 2025, securing a third straight promotion to move from State 5 up to State 2.

The season featured standout moments, including late winners at South Springvale and a fighting draw away at second-placed Mornington, highlighting the team’s resilience. Chelsea also reached Round 3 of the Nike Cup and finished the league campaign with the best defensive record in the league.

The year also saw two Chelsea juniors make their senior debuts — and both scored goals — underlining the strength and depth of the program driving the squad forward.

If any clubs out there would like to feature on the page please send me a DM with a summary of the season for a particular team or the club as a whole. Remember a good season doesn't necessarily mean you won a title or got promoted, it may be for many other reasons. Make sure you add some pics and details so we can feature your club.

Its important to note that every team that played last weekend deserve recognition as they are all Champions of their leagues. One game doesn't defy how brilliant a year these teams have had. We look forward to seeing the results this coming weekend for the Grand Finals of State 3,4 and 5.

15/09/2025

State 1 Grand Final was always going to be tough to predict, both FC Clifton Hill and South Yarra Soccer Club fielding quality teams. Both teams created several critical chances in the first half and that saw the goals come from both ends with the half finishing 2-2. Clifton Hill were the clinical team in the second half though and they ran away with it in the end winning 4-2, The Yarra ladies simply didn't have answers to control the power house scoring machine of the Irish Teen international Meadhbh Deeney.

15/09/2025

State 2 Grand Final saw Uni Hill Eagles FC play Aspendale Stingrays SC. The Stingrays went 2-0 up early after a sluggish start by the Uni girls and at half time 2-0 down they had work to do. The second half was a polar opposite and Uni took control to level the scores 2-2 at full time, after the 30 minutes of extra time we saw our first and only penalty shoot out of the day. Uni stepped up first and missed and the Stingrays went into the box seat from there, never falling behind in the count to see them win the penalty shoot out 3-2.

We didnt get an opportunity to see a lot of the state 3 semi finals games action but Kilda Soccer Club pipped the finish line with a 1-0 win over Chelsea Football Club- Australia, the other game shows a surprise 8-0 win to Kensington City Soccer Club over Whittlesea United Soccer Club, not sure what has happened here, Game day tells us they Whittlesea only had 11 but I am sure the story of the day is deeper than that as they had only conceded 8 goals all year and won 18 from 18.
