S**U!!!! (IYKYK 😉)
Many thanks to those that bought tickets to support the Over 35s and the Under 22s, especially to those that came last night and helped make it a massive night (with a few sore heads this morning I'm sure!!).
It has helped secure some much needed funding for both teams.
Congratulations to the winner David Anderson (Donna officially but we know who actually paid 😜) and runner-up Jamie Matheson who took the gamble for glory and fell on the last hurdle!! Dave has graciously decided to give half of his prize to the 22s!!!
Thank you to all that helped with the running of the night, with a special shout out to Aaron Straughair, Sandy Davies and Rachel Mustoe who wore the brunt of the work. There are others, but these 3 went above and beyond!! For that, we thank you.
And finally, please get down to sunny Werribee and support the 35s and the rest of the VICS as they start their Masters campaign over the next 2 weeks!!!
GoVics!!!

Message from Coach James Dornan:
“What a fantastic display of indoor cricket yesterday for the Champions League 22’s Division. The amount of talent on offer shows that our sport in this State is on the right track. It even had the Open’s Coach casting his eye over the games.
The most pleasing aspect is that we had over 30 players nominating for State selection. The competition for selection will be red hot, strengthening our squad’s depth. We look forward to creating a very competitive team to take into 2026 Nationals.
The next step will be to select a trial squad. Players will be invited to trial over some selected dates. From this point , we will select a training squad of 16 players. This will be trimmed to a squad of 12 that will represent the Big V in the tournament .
Again, it was a pleasure watching yesterday’s action, and I thank everyone who competed yesterday to make the day as great as it was.”
Stay tuned for squad updates in the coming months.

We've gone to the experts, and they've had a crack at predicting some Champions League results.
The five experts were hand-picked, with one member of each club, and a pathways coach for Victoria.
Our 5 experts are: Geoff Latham (Vic U18 Coach), Kieran Perkins (Croydon), David Dervan (Kings), Sam Bright (Casey), Shane King (Werribee).
Check back in on Sunday to see how our experts went!

Time to shine.
And now, looking at our fourth and final U22 Champions League side, Casey Stars.
Stars VicLeague Captain, Todd Quinn, expressed his excitement about the future of Casey, and what this U22’s side has to offer:
“Excited to see the Stars’ lads in action, especially the ones who have had VicLeague experience in the last two years. Champions League is a great stepping stone and a great opportunity to showcase skills and continue on to that next level. The Stars are focusing on building youth and it will be in full display. With a mixture of experience and youth the future is bright for all these lads.”
Victorian U22 player, and Stars U22 Captain, James Sajeba, provided a little look on what’s to come for the young Stars:
“The Casey Stars may be a young side this year, but we’re strong, hungry, and ready to make our mark in Champions League this Saturday. There is a lot of talented young men in our team such as Cooper, Zac and Ryan who played vital roles representing U18 Victorian team last year. Along with players such as Ash & Ash, Dylan, James and Himath from Springvale that have just as much talent, if not more that want to put there hands up and take there chance to play for the Big V.”
