Introducing Our 2027 Full-Time Program 📣

In affiliation with Yarraville Glory FC, Mells Football Academy is proud to launch our 2027 Full-Time Program.

Our Kangas teams will now train three nights per week, with an optional Saturday morning Academy session for players who are driven to push themselves further and compete in our High Performance tournament squads.

Our Weekly Training Approach

⚽ Technical Development – Advanced technical training and individual improvement.
💪 Conditioning – Developing speed, strength, endurance and athleticism.
🧠 Tactical & Position-Specific Training – Building game understanding and positional excellence.
🔥 Optional Saturday Academy Session – Additional high-performance training for committed players.

Players will represent Yarraville Glory FC in the Football Victoria West Sunday competition while also having opportunities throughout the year to compete in elite tournaments through Mells Football Academy.

Who Can Apply?

We are building highly competitive academy-level squads for:

• Boys & Girls U8–U13 (2019–2014 born)
• Exceptional 2020-born players are encouraged to register their interest and attend trials. A limited number of places may be offered based on individual maturity and readiness.

The entire football program will be designed and delivered by the Mells Football Academy coaching team, providing a consistent, professional pathway focused on long-term player development.

Throughout the season, selected players will have opportunities to compete in a range of high-level tournaments, with additional academy tournament selections available for those who earn them.

Player Selection Will Be Based On:

• Technical ability and game understanding
• Physical qualities (strength, speed, endurance and athleticism)
• Commitment from both the player and their family

We take the development of our players seriously and are excited to continue building one of the strongest junior football programs in the west.

Registrations are now open for all current MFA members, with a limited number of places available for new players looking to join our program.

As we head into the second half of the year, the intensity continues to rise. Standards are being pushed higher, expectations are increasing, and every session is designed to maximise each player’s development in a challenging, professional environment.

❄️ MFA Winter Holiday Camp is Back! ⚽

We’re excited to return to Yarraville Glory FC from July 6th–9th for four action-packed days of football development, learning, and fun.

Designed for players aged 5–13, our camp provides an elite training environment where young footballers can develop their technical skills, game understanding, confidence, and love for the game alongside other passionate players.
