Sydney Swans veteran Taylor Adams was taken to hospital on Saturday night after being assaulted at a licensed venue in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

The incident occurred at Club Rose Bay just after 10:10pm, with NSW Police confirming Adams was involved in an argument with two men not known to him.

Police allege Adams was punched in the face, knocked to the ground and briefly lost consciousness. He was treated by paramedics and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for further assessment.

Authorities have stated there is no suggestion Adams or the other player he was with were the aggressors. The two men involved left the scene before police arrived.

Adams was released from hospital on Sunday morning.

New coming from AFL is that Collingwood Football Club has announced that they have added Charlie McCartin the brother of both Paddy and Tom McCartin to its recruiting team. He will also play for the Collingwood VFL side in 2026. 🖤🤍

News from Sydney Swans is that defender Riley Bice has been given a 2 year extension on his contract after playing 16 games on his first season in the AFL in 2025. ❤️🤍
