Our mission is to teach, develop, organise, manage and offer youth players the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball, all the while instilling life lessons and values, such as character, teamwork, discipline, respect and sportsmanship Dragons are represented by the bold and bright combination of Purple and Gold, with our focus on the young future stars of basketball, currently fielding junior teams in Under 8's, Under 10's, Under 12's and Under 14's MBA competitions.

Winter Presentation Day was an incredible showcase of what makes our club special — community, growth, pride, and the unmistakable Dragons spirit.

A huge congratulations to all our award winners across every age group. Your hard work, improvement, leadership, and commitment shone brightly, and the entire club is proud of what you achieved this season.

🌟Congratulations to our Flight Award recipients: April, Flynn and Cohen 🌟
The Dragons Flight Award recognizes a player who consistently demonstrates outstanding sportsmanship, determination and a commitment to improving their basketball. A fantastic recognition of everything these players bring to the Dragons!

Also a special mention to our very first Junior Volunteer Award - Aliana Foote. Your dedication to help kids grow and being a role model to all the girls you coach and mentor has been recognised across the club. Thanks

Saturday was a massive celebration for our Melton Dragons as Grand Final Day wrapped up an incredible Winter 2026 season. Our teams hit the court with heart, grit, and pride — and every game showed just how far our players have come.

🏆Congratulations to our Grand Final winners:
Yellow U10b, Pink U10g, Black U14b, Red U14b, Black U16b, Purple U16b, Purple U18b and Yellow U18b!

🏆Special mention goes to our Yellow U18b team, winning their game with an incredible 2 point buzzer be**er. Their 4th A grade Grand Final win in a row!

💛 To our runner up teams, to even make it to the finals is a huge achievement and you should all be proud that you gave it your all right up to the final siren.
