Tutus at the ready!

Did you know that when parkrunday falls on the 22nd of the month, it becomes Tutu Day?

So, for our 22nd birthday, we want to go one step further with a sea of tutus at parkrun this weekend.

Who’s in? 🧡

🎉 IT’S A BIG ONE THIS SATURDAY! 🎉

It’s a LONG WEEKEND, it’s parkrun’s 22nd birthday, AND it’s Saturday at Menai parkrun! 🥳

And because 22 = Tu-Tu… well, obviously tutus are totally appropriate! 🩰😂

So whether you’re running, walking, volunteering, cheering from the sidelines — or turning up in a tutu — come and celebrate with us! 💙

🦺 We still need a few fabulous volunteers!

We’re looking for:

🔹 3 Marshals
🔹 1 Finish Token Support

If you can help, jump onto the roster and put your name down. Every volunteer makes Saturday morning happen, and we’d love to have you there! 🙌

A few photos to celebrate the spirit of retro run day Event #530 - more to follow soon

What a cracker of a morning! We were so close to record numbers that you all kept this Run Director a bit nervous about barcodes. Thanks for bearing with us as we handed out finish tokens in the middle of the run; there sure were a lot of you crossing the line at one point!

A big thank you to everyone who embraced our retro run vibes. So much neon, Choose Life, side ponies, leotards, bright yellow, even neon shoes! A big thank you to all our volunteers and a special thank you to MC the MC for DJing our event. He said afterwards that many parkrunners told him the music helped get a PB; and with 29 runners getting a PB today, I think they could be right! We also had 32 first timers to Menai and/or Parkrun today, so thank you for turning up and adding to our vibes today. We hope you enjoyed it and join us again!

Congratulations to Xavier on his junior 10 milestone and congratulations to Jade on her 100th Parkrun!

For your diaries: October 31 is our Halloween Parkrun and fancy dress is encouraged again. We may even be able to convince MC the MC to turn up again to make the run a real THRILLER. Linwood and Luci will be there super early with a photobooth, so if you want a photo before Parkrun, the photobooth will be starting at 7.15 am. Could we hit record numbers that week?

We need some more marshalls for next week and someone to hand out finish tokens. Please contact us if you can help us.
